UPDATE: Today a jury returned with a guilty verdict on the remaining count of conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding against Bennie Parker.

A mistrial was declared on the count of obstruction of an official proceeding against Michael Greene.

We may not have to wait long to get some idea of the sentence prosecutors will seek for these Proud Boys. Sentencing memos are due tomorrow for the Oath Keepers convicted in the first seditious conspiracy trial last year.

Yes. Yesterday. Judge Mehta sentenced Peter Schwartz to 14 years. Prosecutors asked for 24.5 years.

NEW: Kelly Meggs, Jan 6 OathKeeper defendant convicted of seditious conspiracy, requests prison sentence of 28 months.

Feds are seeking 21 *years* prison

So..... there's a bit of a difference between the two requests.

(Sentencing is later this Spring)

At Oversight Committee hearing, Reps. Biggs and Luna complained about DOJ seeking 14 years for Oath Keeper Thomas Caldwell, who was acquitted of seditious conspiracy but convicted of obstruction and evidence tampering.

Lune called it "a harsher sentence than they deserve"

If it was a black kid convicted of shoplifting they'd want twice that.

Calling from prison before his sentencing for seditious conspiracy, Oathkeepers leader Stewart Rhodes says Capitol Police intentionally instigated the violence on J6, and says DOJ is trying to connect Oathkeepers and Proud Boys to Trump through Rudy Giuliani.
