Sisters, OR has a fabulous quilt show throughout their town every year, too. It's the world's largest outdoor quilt show and has well over 1000 quilts on display. They hang them on porches and balconies and buildings. Second Saturday in July every year.
The big quilt blocks are all over the country and are called barn quilts. We had a 4'x4' one on the studio for a while but a tornado-ish wind took it out a while back. https://barnquiltinfo.com/ has a map of all the ones that have been registered and many states have their own barn quilt trails.
Thanks Sugar. I've seen some of the featured barn quilts. I've always wondered how and if they were organized somehow. Now I know!
