Got my booster today. First shot back in April was J&J, but got Moderna today.

My wife and I both have had two Moderna doses and a booster.

She tested positive last Sunday. She took a home test, which came back positive. We called her doctor, who arranged for a "real" test to confirm it. On Tuesday, it also came back positive.

It is a very mild case. She hasn't felt too bad. She has had an intermittent cough and says she her sense of smell was diminished. She teaches in an after-school program and stayed home all week. She has been cleared to go back to work on Monday.

My home test was negative.

I'm glad to hear she's well enough to go back to work. Stay well.

I've got one J&J and one Moderna on board, as do my husband and daytime caretaker. I called the Health Dept about whether we should all get a 2nd Moderna since there are concerns about J&J not working as well and the CDC or FDA (I forget which) downplaying it, recommending it as one to use if you just can't get the others. They say there wasn't any current advice to get anything beyond the J&J and a booster - J&J again or Moderna if it's available - so I can't get it for now, but if such advice is made, I will be getting it with all due haste. Between my size and my being diabetic, plus this weird congestion I've had since a couple months before Covid reared it's ugly head, I simply canNOT afford to get sick. Thankfully, I've had NO reactions whatsoever to the vaccines - no pain at the injection spot, no feeling any sicker - it like I didn't get a shot at all. Neither hubby or caretaker have been quite as lucky - both had injection site pain - but neither of them felt sicker, either.

I read somewhere today that they think another will be needed by next September. I won't hold my breath on that.

I'll take all they have. My PCP takes blood every time I visit, and they use a much bigger needle. The vax was a nothingburger.

Again, here's a dialysis needle. (And you get TWO of these per treatment) vax needles are less than a nothingburger.

That's because Bill Gates miniaturized his nano chips to go through tiny needles for the vax.

Dr. Vicklund got her fourth shot today. Since she's immunocompromised, this counts as her first booster. And now to wait a week until she can start taking her meds again.

My Mister got his 4th jab yesterday.

He's been sooo sick since last night. Fever, severe chills, night sweets, fever dreams, nausea, vomiting, headache. He's been asleep since 11:00 pm last night; 18 hours and counting.

I'm really dreading my next jab. Jab 3 was horrible. I can't decide if I should get an antibody test to see if my immune system can handle another month or if I need to just dive in.

I'm ascared! :cantlook:

My doctor's office emailed out about making appointments for the next jab to which I am eligible. While my third one was better than the second, I am not going to look into getting another jab until after Holy Week and Easter Day. I don't need an icky day during this time of year.

It might be time to amend the poll with options for a second booster.

I'm scheduled to get mine a week from today. I got knocked flat when I got my Moderna booster in October plus three other vaccines at the same time (shingles, pneumonia and seasonal flu shot). I was out of commission for about 36 hours. No symptoms other than just sleeping more or less continuously.

I just received an email from my clinic for a 2nd booster. I'm in the same boat as several others here. The shot itself is fine. But then my arm is too painful to move AT ALL. I put my arm in a sling AND wrap a rope around me to prevent my arm from moving at all. Also knocked out, pretty much can't to do anything for a few days. I've already told the doc that I want the booster late in the afternoon, the day before a 3 day weekend. No way I can do my job for days after the shot.

My husband and I got our second boosters today. Had to make a bunch of calls and schmooze some techs to find them. Most of the big pharmacy websites have not adjusted their appointment forms to reflect this week’s change in eligibility.

It’s only been 5 hours or so but we are both feeling fine, arms just a tad sore.

I am scheduled to get mine on Monday afternoon. After three rounds of Pfizer, I am hoping to get Moderna this time. I haven't had much of a reaction so far, so I hope to be fully recovered by dog agility class on Wednesday.
