I have officially moved from the digs from hell.. the Hell will bill me.. sigh.. inadequate waste removal space.. I am fine with it..I am free...Now I can go back to work to recover.. this move has been hellish but I have lived there 12 years in a rundown apartment. It was cost effective while I put my daughter through University of Washington.

To IANALs, this is an example of a civil nuisance lawsuit enjoining the "nuisance" (bikes) as opposed to a criminal case of public nuisance or disorder (arresting the beer drinkers).
Beer crawl bikes banned in Amsterdam

Amsterdam has banned beer bikes from its street amid complaints about rowdy tourists being drunk and disorderly. A court ruling on Tuesday paved the way for the contraptions to be banned from the Dutch capital, saying they were causing a "public order problem".

The bicycles are a popular way for tourists celebrating group events, such as stag parties, to travel around Amsterdam. Critics say they have become an example of the problems caused by mass tourism.

In a statement, Amsterdam District Court said that "the beer bicycle may be banned from the city centre to stop it from being a nuisance". "The combination of traffic disruptions, anti-social behaviour and the busy city centre justifies a ban."

I have been part of a discussion where the frustration of not having addresses in Latin America is fodder for some hilarious experiences, and some not so hilarious. In many rural areas there is no mail delivery and utility bills are often stuck in doors or on fence posts. One friend gets his water bill delivered in an envelope that is labeled “gringo”.

But as this TED Talk points out, not having addresses hinders businesses and also can be a matter of life or death. So dude in this talk devised a system that gives every place on earth a three word address. And it works.

https:// www.ted.com/talks/chris_sheldrick_a_pre ... h#t-306593
Thanks, that's really interesting!
The website of the organization: https://what3words.com/

Here is the Android app to translate coordinates to three words and back to (Google) map references:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... roid&hl=en

for the Apple community:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/what3wo ... 78530?mt=8

for Windows 10 (and nothing for older versions):
https://www.microsoft.com/en-sg/store/p ... blggh51p87
Three-word app addresses Mercedes and postal-free Mongolia

Isolated communities benefit from What3Words’ specific location technology

Mom Accused Of Driving Minivan With Son And Plastic Pool Tied To Top

Officers who arrived on scene questioned Schmunk about her son’s alleged wild ride.

They said she admitted the boy had been on top of the minivan on the road “but only for a short time, maybe 20-30 seconds,” according to WITI TV.

——

She allegedly said she “decided to put the pool on top of the minivan, but had no way to strap it down, so she had her child climb on the roof and hold it down while she drove,” according to a police report obtained by WITI TV.
Facebook comment:
Mom has son on roof of minivan holding pool down as she drive home. She could face 10 years in prison. Really???? Was she driving fast or slow? On the Interstate? How much danger was there - more than for a kid riding in the back of a pickup? It is a miracle my parents aren't in prison on death row for what they let me do as a kid!

Uber has banned a right-wing activist from using its app after she complained about Muslim drivers following the terrorist attack in New York City.

Business Insider reports that Laura Loomer, a conservative activist who formerly worked for conservative activist James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas group, was banned by Uber after she tweeted about Muslim Uber drivers in the city.

Loomer gave a speech on campus here last week. I was fortunate to get out of the area before the campus was locked down by the cops. When I left, people were streaming in for her speech, or to protest it.

Too, also, every time I hear her name I think of Lisa Loopner.

I was there last June. They get you when you use the toll road. They get you when you park your car. They really get you when you pay the admission fee. It wasn't worth it at half the price.

For Jez. I feel your pain babe. I absolutely hate living with other people. But mostly because I wear myself out trying to be thoughtful, helpful and considerate. I like living alone because I can leave dishes in the sink and leave the TV on all night if I want. By myself I am happy to clean in a frenzy when I want and not have people over. Living under the same roof as someone else means I must be considerate and I am just way past that at this point! :P :x

Thing is, Ais and I work well together as a team. Auntie F just kinda sits there most of the time.

Oh well, I will survive. Just gonna take it one day at a time.

We had just finished building our cabin in Patagonia and I was introducing my pig to the new digs. Yard is still a wet mess from construction. White water river below in the background. I miss those times.
