Bastids! :madz2:

I've been running the companion product, CrawlTrack (AT&T operator: "Was that Troll Crack?") for many moons without a problem. I like that one.

Yesterday I tried CrawlProtect, and look what happened. I've disabled it and put in a support request. We'll see what I get back. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Yes, intermittently.

Yes, for a while consistently. I attribute it to Umberto Eco having taken offense at TFB and interfering in our software.

Hey, it's Friday the 13th. Some problems the Fogster just has no power over. Whatsoever.

It's raining in SoCal. In July.

The news said it's raining in New York.

(sorry, it's one of my favorite movies!)

Oh, virtual reboot -- not physical power cycle reboot. :)

It's a virtual private server. The label on the button is actually "Restart Container". And yes, it's fast.

I couldn't sleep last night. At 3am central time I ran out of stuff to watch on TV. I started reading every thread on Fogbow. Does anyone know what happens at 4am central time? Fogbow data bases get backed up. 4am, nothing on TV and no access to Fogbow... :(( I am very fortunate that Foggy is so good as to make this an incredibly speedy process. Fogbow was back by the time I got back from the kitchen with my snack and drink. :-bd

I don't have solar here yet. and I am here alone for another 4 days/nights. I did learn to pull the string to get the generator started, but sometimes it is still very hard to do. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. (not enuf r's)

I learned that I shouldn't turn the switch to 'choke' when the generator is already hot.

Normally, I don't use the generator during the day. But it's been raining here. A lot.

I have gotten increasingly peeved at the honda authorized repair for keeping my main generator for weeks on end, saying "we haven't received the part yet.) I can push a button from inside the house and the generator turns on (when the main honda is here). But nooooooooooooooooooooooo, I gotta go outside in the scary dark and make the generator go on and off. Yes, I am a wuss.

My nearest neighbor is a mile away. Cuz that's how long the driveway is. You know. Up a private mountain road. It's west virginia, not malibu! I live with the bears. Well, I don't know that to be true. I've heard there are bears, but, I' haven't see any. Prolly cuz it's dark and I don't see well. :P

I live with the deer. that is true. I go out at night to turn off the generator (grrrrrr... i hate doing that) and the deer aren't afraid of me at all. I think word is out that Ima veghead. They are all coming here. The word is out. They come, and leave their poop in my yard. Lots of deer poop. I admit. I love seeing lots of deer in the middle of the night when I go outside.

But, I don't think it's normal for a citygirl to be able to see and know the difference between deer poop and horse poop. What has happened to me?

I don't like that I have surrendered to those itty bitty little green buggy things that come in if you have the door to the screened porch opened. But I did.

oh yeah. I'm a skinny dippin' (did I say I live on a river.... I mean right ON a river you can see the bottom of... and it's over my head in spots) , gardening, earth mother now.

Okay... i'm akeered to go skinny dippin' alone.

grrrrrr.

and the damned generator too. grrrrrr.

mebbe I gotta buy a condo.

I worry.

crap. i posted that and then the generator failed. i mean immediately.

if i don't have reliable power next july, i am spending it at my beach place.

I can deal with it here, but for what? I have long ago given up the "because it's there" thing. Really. Just cuz it's there?

grrrrrr.

Wow, mimi. Have you lived there a long time? Because you like it?

You may want to practice smiling down bears.

Today when I click on the "forum" tab on the homepage, the forum opens in a new window. Not really a problem, I guess (although I prefer not opening new windows), but thought I'd mention it in case it's a bug rather than a feature.
