The last few days I have gotten "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached" whenever I attempted to upload an image.

Wow!

Guess they're saving all remaining space for me.

There were 50 MB of attachments. I could raise the limit, but better to prune. I got rid of all before July 2011. That will mean missing links and graphics in really old posts, but we can always reconstruct if necessary.

Try now. I think I fixed this one.

Hot-linking images from a Photobucket account instead of physically uploading files into my database saves a lot of wear and tear on the database, but I realize it's a few extra steps.

I use TinyPic. You don't even need an account so you can be anonymous. Here is one I uploaded to test:

I saw that. Far as I know, it applies only to the board index page and only to the Artodia Elegance Black style.

I looked at the code in mchat.php line 803 and functions.php where it says, and I'm unable to understand what's wrong.

I'll submit to the style author and see what he says. But it's Fourth of July ...

Really odd, both those files have been unchanged since July 1, when they worked perfectly. Hmm.

It isn't causing any problems for me either, since I generally use view active topics, but I saw it when I logged in.

I'd say it can be ignored - go celebrate the 4th of July with the family.

I'm using prosilver special ( ) and I get this when signing on, and whenever I click 'board index'. It doesn't appear when I click links to new posts, active topics, or my posts.

I am seeing it in subsilver 2. It does not seem to cause any problems, however.

I am seeing exactly that with Prosilver SE.

Yes, it's happening in all board styles, but only on the index page. Weird, I haven't changed any of the files that load the Index page.

I've put in a call for assistance, but it may take a day or so.

Magical thinking here but maybe all the posts that are missing their graphics are searching insanely all over the index page for them.

I don't know if this is related to the attachment purge, but there are some pictures that I don't see at all. Sometimes I get a little box with something in it (magnifying glass maybe? I can't remember exactly) and I know that there was an image included in a post. This has been happening for a while, but only on certain posts and I assumed it was something with my NoScript settings.

But today I'm catching up after being away for a week and there were a couple posts that made no sense to me at all. Until I clicked the quote button and could see that there was a link to an image. Before clicking quote I could read the text of the post but saw nothing to indicate that there was an image.

One example - a post by jtmunkus in the Hijack thread on 7/2/12 at 10:15pm - all I see are his words - not the image or anything to indicate that there was an image included in the post.

There have been other posts that I suspect also had this problem but I thought I just wasn't getting a joke because I was so behind in too many threads.

You probably have a remote avatar that is no longer.

Someone had a link to an avatar offsite, instead of uploading the avatar, and I deleted it this morning when I reduced the attachments so people could post more attachments in the future.

This one needs a global. Check your avatars and rebuild them if needed.

Checked all board styles - I still don't see anything to show that jtmunkus had an image in that post without clicking quote. All I see is his text and then a blank space.

I'm restoring everything. Gimme half an hour, then I'll know if it's fixed.

I'm working on it as fast as I can. Heck, it only affects the index page, can I get a witness?

To be honest, I had to go hunt for the index page to see if it had the code. I just go straight to the new posts and bypass the index altogether. It hasn't affected me at all.
