Other than the obvious ramifications for the people of San Diego County, I think it's good that Kreep will be - for all intents and purposes - out of the active birther game.

He was certainly the best of the Birther lawyers, though that's not saying much.

Beyond the changes in Kreep's salary, I believe there is a further hit on the family income. The exact details are a little hazy, but it was discussed in the past that Kreep's wife ran a little company that published/printed Kreep's stuff for him, at a substantial cost (nearly 6 figures). Wifey's company was shown to be housed at the same address as USJF. Payments from USJF to this company were reported as one of the largest expenses of USJF, and also seemed to be inflated beyond normal market rates for their services. (I hope my recollections of these things have not totally gone off the rails)

That's all going to come to an end as well, is it not?

Kreep will have an ethics violation in 12 months or less. And the Calif. Bar will promptly act on it sometime before the next millennium.

Its website has a form for filing a judicial complaint. I wonder how many days it will be after Kreep is invested before someone we know files a complaint.

Actually, the wife can continue to run her printing/publishing house with whatever clientele she chooses to accept. Nothing prohibits a judge's spouse from engaging in any business or other pursuits whatsoever -- the only issue that would come up would be a situation where there was a direct conflict of interest, such as a lawsuit for libel brought against the publisher.

USJF is an entity, registered with IRS and apparently in good standing. Its pretty much been Gary Kreep's operation in the past, but if Kreep could find someone else to take over his job the organization could continue. Because it is is a nonprofit, there is no income that could go directly to Kreep, but nothing to prevent Kreep's successor from continuing to do business with Kreep's wife.

If Clarence Thomas' wife can run a teabagger outfit, well then Kreeps wife can keep working her street corner I suppose.

Voting by secret ballot doesn't strike me as "sticking their neck out". In a year, very few people will admit that they actually voted for the freep.
