I read an article on this yesterday (can't remember where now) but thought it funny that she's been eligible for dual citizenship ever since she married. So have the kids, some of whom are now dual citizens and IIRC the other two will be fast-tracked on their Swiss citizenship.

So all those Bachmann supporters were supporting a candidate who was eligible for dual citizenship the entire time and for many years prior.

How will they spin it? That it's just fine cuz she's still Merkun too? That she is no longer Merkun cuz you can't hold dual citizenship?

And why wasn't she fully vetted? We might have elected a president who was eligible for dual citizenship then became a Swiss citizen!! What a konstitushonal krisis that woulda been.

Can you imagine the outcry from birther land if Sheriff Joe, God forbid, passed away? Because at age 80, that would be virtually impossible. Can you imagine the bandwidth devoted to blog after blog, Freeper post to Freeper post, screaming conspiracy louder than ever before?

On Dennis Miller's show on Friday, Corsi claimed that Obama told *everyone* he was born in Kenya up until he ran for President. Then he claimed that Grandma Sarah has repeatedly insisted that he was born in Kenya, on multiple occasions, that she said so to investigators that Corsi hired, and that he has that on tape.

Corsi has, on other occasions, talked about the grandmother affidavits he brought back from Kenya. Which is not only a lie, it's impossible: he returned from Kenya before the McRae call took place. So Corsi says he brought back affidavits, even though he KNOWS he didn't.

Other Birthers suffer from gullibility, or confirmation bias, or just plain ignorance. But Corsi is that rare breed who will not only tell lies, he will CREATE lies, and then tell them to a nationwide listening audience. He knows full-well that he's full of crap, and he doesn't care.

It occurred to me that Corsi may also be advising Bennett on the quest for verification from Hawai'i and the propaganda value of asking for something that he knows he has no legal right to but it sounds so reasonable to the masses. The masses are not going to be digging into the weeks of state election laws and the Hawai'i laws protecting the privacy of birth records.

Plus, his evidence of "everyone" thus far includes:

- A 1991 commercial brochure for a literary agency.
- A 2004 newspaper article in a Kenyan newspaper.
- A handful of hearsay claims, all made after 2008, from people who purport to recollect confessional conversations with Obama from the 1980s.

Every other suggestion that Obama was born in Kenya came AFTER he started running for President, IIRC.

(There was also a 2006 Hawaii newspaper article that said he was born in Indonesia, but obviously that's not Kenya.)
