Okay, makes sense. But if the docket is correct, there are still two MTD that await rulings. Why is Klayman trying to subpoena or depose anyone? Has he been taking continuing education courses via Taft online?

Klayman's not entered an appearance yet. Officially Voeltz is stilll pro se.

I don't think Voeltz is pro se anymore. Klayman signed Voeltz's amended complaint, seen at ORYR scribd site.

I'll believe Klayman really is Voeltz's attorney when he puts in a notice of appearance until then I'm inclined to think he still wants more money or is trying avoid any risk of sanctions by huding behind the pro se. Love to know what was in that letter to Klayman though.

George Miller & Co have posted a number of documents from the Voeltz case in their latest "send more money" article.

I've not read them yet but the article claims that depositons are scheduled which presumably is what provoked the motion for a protective order. They also have this little snippit about the judge:

They didn't post the Defendants pleadings. A couple of the pleadings have been at Jack's for a while..

The Original Challenge filed by Voeltz.

The Amended Complaintt filed by Klayman.

and being denied a visa extension is not the same as 'deported' and so on.
