Yep, 5 minutes - It's been on this corner long enough.....time to move to someplace even more obscure, say Mercury, Nevada (she has the Angles mailing list after all).

To be fair to the California GOP, they have not consented to anything regarding Orly's candidacy. The primary election is a free-for-all. If the top two finishers in the primary are Feinstein and Taitz, I would guess that the CA GOP would choose not to endorse a candidate in the senate race.

I'm sorry that I didn't explain myself properly since I was referring to their consenting to having Orly represent Republican women by appearing in their fashion show. If it was done like many political events, it was invitation only, meaning they invited Orly to be their guest.

You're absolutely correct in that they had no say in her candidacy. I'm hoping that there aren't too many people who will vote for Taitz as a joke, due to the ridiculous number of candidates, they could put her over the top in voting. We'll never heard the end of her! ](*,)

Given the number of Republican candidates, and the relative weakness of all of them, as well as the nature of the primary ("top two" vote-getters progress to the general election), it would not surprise me much to see Dianne Feinstein running against another Democrat in the November general election.

Re: Oily's "stolen" yard signs. As I recall, she recently solicited for flying monkeys to "place" her yard signs and bumper stickers. It seems unlikely that any of the monkeys were advised that they needed to ask permission of the vehicle owner/homeowner prior to affixing a bumper sticker to a vehicle, or before sticking a sign in a yard.

We had a highly-contested mayor's race here in Orlando recently. One Saturday afternoon, suddenly (and without pausing to ask permission) our neighborhood yards were house-to-house with one of the candidate's yard signs (corner houses got two planted in their yards). I don't know about my other neighbors, but I simply walked out to the curb, pulled up the sign, and put it in our garbage can. I suspect that was the way that most of my neighbors dealt with it as well. I doubt any one of my neighbors took the time or trouble to call the city to remove the signs (who has the time for that kind of penny ante crap? And who wants their tax dollars used to send out a city vehicle and crew to pluck an unwanted political sign out of their yard...silly). In a LOL moment, we noted that the incumbent mayor's home (which is in the same neighborhood) was also littered with this opposing candidate's signs--and you gotta know that the Mayor didn't give his opponent permission to plant a sign in his yard. =))

I suspect that Oily's correct that the city didn't remove her signs...I suspect that it was the homeowners themselves who removed the unwanted litter from their yards.

I don't believe there were 10 Taitz campaign signs, much less 100, placed anywhere by anyone.

Taitz has no campaign support, no campaign office. At her most provocative, she generates less than a 100 comments on a blog post. Sure, she has addressed some small Republican and Tea Party groups, but how many have come out and endorsed her? KBOA's "improved" video has only 35 "likes" on YouTube.

So who placed the 100 campaign signs? That's a lot of work. You'd think someone would have noticed such an active candidate activity. But do teh Google thing - no images of Taitz signs, no blog commentor reveling in the display for their favorite candidate, no one else complaining that hours of hard work were lost to vandals.

Orly nevah disappoints and she always lies.

You make a good point, Raicha. It did occur to me that it was more likely that the signs were never planted in the first place than it was that they were "stolen," and may never have existed at all, except in Oily's mind. However, given the recent experience I described above, I could also see that possibility (signs placed without permission; removed by homeowners and placed in the garbage). Another possibility which occurred to me is that Oily, on her way out of town to attend this weekend's big birfer summit, harangued her sons to put out the signs; to get screeching Ma off their backs, they said they'd do it, but actually carted the signs to a dumpster behind Wal-Mart; Oily arrives home from birfer summit, and kids, knowing her gullible paranoia, tell her they definitely placed the signs but gee, they must have been stolen.

From Wikipedia:

"Manning came to public attention in the 2008 presidential election after ATLAH posted several sermons of his that were harshly critical of Democratic candidate Barack Obama on the website YouTube. Among other accusations, he called Obama's mother "white trash" for becoming pregnant by a black man out of wedlock, an issue he discussed during a press conference at the National Press Club on December 8, 2008.
"It is common knowledge that African men, coming from the continent of Africa—especially for the first time—do diligently seek out white women to have sexual intercourse with. Generally the most noble of white society choose not to intercourse sexually with these men. So it's usually the trashier ones who make their determinations that they're going to have sex."

Orly now wants to go after President Obama's deceased mother and request a DNA test of Sasha and Malia to verify that they are really his daughters. This goes beyond the norms of decency, even for birthers.

Raicha, you've just said what I was thinking. I have done sign placement on lawns as a volunteer. It takes all day to deliver and put up even the new kinds (that don't require brutal hammering into hard ground) to about 25 people since there are rarely more than 2 on a single street. If I had to guess what Orly did, she went around and taped some signs to poles and fences at shopping centers. It used to be a popular tactic in L.A. County and there were firms that specialized in putting them up -- often too high for shopping center owners to get down. In the 1990s, our commercial areas looked like they had outbreaks or hives, it was such a mess. A lot of people worried about the "broken window" aspect of it, and ordinances were finally passed to severely punish the firms doing it; the practice stopped pretty much. That is, except for minor candidates who don't know about the ordinances and on their own, pepper limited areas with their signage. I would guess that Orly falls into that category. If the signs were hung low, they would be removed within a few days, pretty much most of them. I'm with you, Raicha, Orly is such a pathological liar, I suspect if she said there were 100, there were 20-25 at most. :)

Hell, no. She's thrilled to pieces. She wouldn't trade that moment for all the cats on the Internet. She's suddenly transported back to her swimsuit model days, to the days when Yosi fell head over heels, when she went from being a poor Russian Israeli immigrant to being a multimillionaire American wife with a 'tude.

Weighing in late...

I was appalled by the idea of a beauty pageant as a campaign event, and at least as appalled when I looked at the program that Orly posted and noticed that the group running the event apparently has an "Americanism Chair".

But, yes, I did notice that Orly actually seems genuinely happy in those pictures.

I was looking at the program for the fashion show. The other "models" were candidates for the republican central committee, city councils, county supervisor, state assembly, community college district, and water board district.

And one running for U.S. Senator.

So Orly says she is going to have an ad on KFI this afternoon. I cannot fathom her spending money to do it, but she posted it. Supposedly at 5:33 p.m. That would be during the John & Ken Show and while they are obnoxious, screeching right-wing bullies, there are a lot of people listening. AND, John & Ken are the ones who had her on as a guest last April and asked her if she is insane. Could get a really funny reaction.

I hope someone knows how to record it. Here's the website where it streams live:

That seems like it would be expensive. Like you said it is a popular show during "drive home" time. I have not heard a single ad for any Senate candidate on the radio yet. I have not seen any yard signs and only received one slate mailer which Emkin paid to be on. This has been a very low key US Senate primary.

Here's what BatGuano posted on Doc C's about Orly's radio ad:

BatGuano wrote:
i caught a radio ad for orly’s campaign the other day on KFI, LA’s main talk radio station. i was surprised ( and disappointed ) that it actually was rational and coherent. it doesn’t feature orly and there is no direct mention of anything birther. if i remember correctly the main push was that she’d “work to bring jobs back to california and fight against the corruption in government”.

one thing i found entertaining was the announcer’s pronunciation of her name. he called her “tights” ( i’ve always pronounced it “tates” ) and was oddly light on the “r” in her first name. so it sounded like he was repeatedly saying, and with emphisis, “oily tights”.

Oh my gawd, how funny is that! Well, it must have run yesterday and if I had to guess, John & Ken themselves wouldn't be on, on the holiday. I sometimes torture myself and listen to them when driving for a bit, but they are so strident, imperious (I got mine, so I cannot possibly imagine what is wrong with you that you didn't get yours and you are therefore an undeserving bag of shit that I or other members of the 1% shouldn't give up anything for), and mean spirited, it is really difficult to do for more than a few minutes. They are especially horrible to Latinos and adore Sharuf Joe. That says it all for me.

"Tights" is the correct pronounciation, according to O'rly. I saw that stated by her somewhere in the past. "Oily" - that's the way I do it.

It's 5:37, there were about 10 ads, and Orly's wasn't run on KFI. I cannot stand listening anymore. :(
