Those corrupt judges on the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit have put a temporary halt to Taitz's progress on her Astrue and Ruemmller cases, but African Press International is carrying the all-important news that Eric Dondero has endorsed Taitz for the U.S. Senate. Taitz's complete inability to cut-and-paste carries over quite a bit more of what API has on its front page. One of those tidbits in the Chief Editor's Lounge is the news "US President, Barack Obama's Fate -- .. Obama finally gives in and will declare his genuine birthplace, birth certificate, and the Kenya connection, a reliable source tells API." I am sure the Chief Editor will be providing more complete coverage at any moment.

Must have. How are we going to get a "tape" of the commercial?

Easy Peasy. Both stations have streams, so just capture. They apparently are scheduled for the 28th.

Her site is a mess today. I'm gonna contact the guy who wrote the WordPress template she's using and ask him what he thinks of her butchering his work :)

Thanks tjh and jt, for verifying my suspicion that Orly was on the runway in something sleeveless.

I didn't have the courage to visit Orly's House of Malware.

Edit: Not to mention that attractive, super-sized handbag to carry her enlarged zibits! =))

Um, is there no low too low for GOP women to go to to please their male masters? The whole thing seems kinda demeaning to me.

Oh yea, they're the party that puts appearance ahead of smarts.

Well, to be fair, it's a linen safari suit. It's supposed to look that way.

But I guess of all the donors in the OC they couldn't find one hairdresser to do something with the rat's nest on her head.

I know a real CA lawyer who is FAR more attractive than Taitz. Of course, that woman is more concerned with what's in her head than on it. ;)

Naw, Leni had talent, albeit misdirected.

Get it, directed?

Is it me or is the idea of promoting women candidates by way of a fashion show (as opposed to candidate's forum or something), demeaning?

I've never been a raging feminist, but how did this event do anything to highlight the qualifications of any of the women to do the job they are seeking?

Grr.

Edit: Oops, it's not just me. Thanks GG!

I remember many years ago when a woman was running for a slot in the school board. The caption read to the effect of "a real beauty - with a business brain too." The clothing she was wearing was not showing her brain. Eye candy, yes. Apparently it wasn't memorable enough to carry over to the ballot box. She came in fifth out of five candidates.

And I was just thinking the same thing. I'll lay 3:1 odds that there were no male candidates pracing down the runway.

So, if there were any - shall we say - "non-normal-sized" candidates, I wonder if fashions were provided for them, too, or if they just got to sit and watch the "normal" ones get all the publicity during the event?

So far as I can tell, Republicans don't care in the least about whether the lunatics and morons they elect are remotely qualified to do their jobs.

I can't imagine Democrats having a beauty pageant for candidates.

'Course not. Inconceivable :D ... but I still wonder why women don't think like normal people. :-?

Oh, it's a joke. Walk it off!

Now that we're all in a lighter mood :P , instead of focusing on how demeaning that would be for a woman, think of the effect on Orly herself.

Does she look like she feels demeaned in those photos?

Hell, no. She's thrilled to pieces. She wouldn't trade that moment for all the cats on the Internet. She's suddenly transported back to her swimsuit model days, to the days when Yosi fell head over heels, when she went from being a poor Russian Israeli immigrant to being a multimillionaire American wife with a 'tude.

And she probably IS more physically attractive than some a them other Republican ladies. She is still tall, blonde, and ... um ... unobese. She felt like a freakin' STAR up there. Look at her face!!

That event will swell up her headbone like a consarn frickin' frackin' melon all over again. She's gonna be on the girly calendar, "Hotties of the California Republican Party".

Good thing, too, after all those nasty things people been sayin' about her lately, n'est ce pas?

Oh my, yes! This is a very BIG deal!

Let's see, running morning "drive time" (and afternoon "early drive time") radio spots on Memorial Day (thereby rendering "drive time" fairly meaningless). And better yet, running those spots on KPRZ ("K-Praise" - a Christian music station--specializing in "Southern Gospel music"--so lacking in listeners that no ranking organization (such as Arbitron, although neither station is an Arbitron subscriber, so they don't rank at all on the gold standard of radio rankings) even officially ranks it in the San Diego market), and KCBQ (a conservative talk radio station which, in the San Diego market, ranks #30 among AM radio stations).

Good move, Oily!

=))

Yes, I'd bet she got an exceptional price. And I expect, considering it's Oily, all she considered was, "Ooooh, radio advertising! In San Diego, which is a beeeg city! Lots of people will hear my radio ads! I'll be bigtime candidate now!"

I think it's unlikely that Oily has the capacity to stop and actually analyze what she's doing, much less do any research upfront to determine station and spot time/date placement, much less any consideration of the specific hosts/shows during which her spots would run, and how those shows/hosts rank in the market.

I will say this, though...I suspect she's a whole lot better at radio advertising than she is at lawyering.
