We don't seem to have a thread where we can report on celebs who have come out of the closet as angry, bitter, ranting Obama haters (think Nugent, John Voight, etc). So this will be that thread!

Today's angry celeb, Bruce Johnston of the Beach Boys:

Bruce seems to be an (political) asshole but he's hardly a musical never been. He was not an original member of the Beach Boys. He's a talented writer/musician.

Obama raked in $15 million at Clooney's last night (although apparently $10 million was from folks who gave $3 or more to enter into the raffle to be there).

In the 1968 Democratic Presidential Primary, the candidates sampaigned with poets, or so I've read. Eugene McCarthy mocked Bobby Kennedy for for lacking a poet of the stature of Robert Lowell. Not possible today. Today intelligence becomes fodder for attack ads.

Meh. I think I know why I don't know his name. Before he joined the band, they had auditioned for a replacement for Brian. One of my swim team friend's brothers, whose last name escapes me now (it was only 52 years ago) was chosen. Two days before he was to take his place in the band, Kevin was hit not once, not twice but three times by automobiles as he rode his bike home from the pool. He nearly died. I must have blocked Bruce out because of that.

Sounds like Johnson grew up near Breitbart. Wonder if he was also tutored by Orson Bean. :mrgreen:
