A Rapid City man is trying to remove President Barack Obama from the South Dakota ballot, saying he’s not a natural-born citizen and isn’t eligible to be president.
Thomas Scheveck’s complaint will be heard on Friday by the state Board of Elections.

Thomas Scheveck’s name sounds familiar. Was he a regular poster/complainer at the Pest & Efail back when comments were allowed without restriction?

Edit: I might have confused P&E commenters with WND. This letter from Congresswoman Noem (R-SD) was addressed to him.

From mimi's link:

Quote:
Ben Nesselhuf, chairman of the South Dakota Democratic Party, dismissed Scheveck’s complaint.

“This is an issue I thought was settled long ago, but some people just don’t let the facts get in the way of a good conspiracy theory,” Nesselhuf said.

In an email, South Dakota Republican Party executive director Tony Post called Scheveck’s complaint a “distraction.”

“The state political parties are the entities that certify the presidential candidates, so Mr. Scheveck needs to take his complaint to the Democrats,” Post wrote. “We know how that plays out, so we'll just beat Mr. Obama this fall instead.”

The state Board of Elections declared on a 6-0 vote this morning that its members lack any jurisdiction to take up a complaint filed by a Rapid City man alleging that President Barack Obama isn’t a natural-born U.S. citizen, uses someone else’s Social Security number and posts a false birth certificate. The complaint by Thomas Scheveck was filed under the Help America Vote Act, but the federal law’s specific sections regarding election complaints don’t cover the types of allegations being made. State laws and regulations regarding elections in South Dakota also don’t cover those types of allegations regarding a presidential candidate. The teleconference meeting lasted 11 minutes.
