Can't Take A Joke: Donald Trump Reacts Badly To WHCD Routines From Obama, Meyers

Quote:
Trump's "mood shifted from playing along to unvarnished anger," New York reported, citing "multiple guests who sat near Trump." Politico's Mike Allen wrote Trump "sat stone-faced" during Meyer's speech.

....

Trump called into "Fox And Friends" Sunday morning and talked about his experience in the audience. Transcript from Politico's Maggie Haberman):

Quote:
"Well, I really understood what I was getting into -- I didn't know that I'd be virtually the sole focus," Trump said. "I guess when you're leading in the polls that sort of thing tends to happen. But I was certainly in a certain way having a good time listening. I don't think the American people are having a good time with $5 gas. ... I was thinking to myself as they were doing this, you know, the American people are really suffering and we're all" having fun at a gala.

....

Quote:
"I thought Seth Meyers -- his delivery frankly was not good," Trump said. "He's a stutterer."

Who does this moron think he's fooling? He keeps going after elite entertainers by attacking their entertainment skills, like Seinfeld, DeNiro and now Meyers. He seems to think that he himself is an entertainer, complete with wit, delivery, and substance like Seinfeld and Meyers. The truth is that he's entertaining because we're all laughing at him.

I have long suspected that the Great Usurper had a sense of humour about the whole birfer madness. I am very glad to see that he got to indulge himself, while taking a few shots at himself along the way. I am crying crocodile tears for the Donald though. To think that the President of the United States made fun of him in public and did it with full pwnage. I only wish my choices in the election tomorrow were as awesome.

According to Politico, The Donald, on the way to the WHCD, said he didn't Obama would make any jokes about him.

Oh, he's shown very clearly how to make a small fortune.

The more I think about it, the more I believe that the President is a master at elebenty-dimensional chess. He completely marginalized Trump in two moves: the BC and inviting the White House Press to join in mocking him. Trump, no matter how deep in denial we see him this next week, will never recover from this.

I like this President very much as a person. I understand that he is neither as liberal as I would have him be nor the attack dog others would have him be. But he is a fencing master and a professor and a chess master. He keeps besting his opponents. His timing, I have come to see, is impeccable. I want four more years.

The only thing is...I die a little every time my KABC breaking news alert goes off. I would pray if I thought it would help. Maybe someone else with more credibility than I in that department could add my fervent wish for his safety to their nightly prayers. [-o<

Why is there a red banner across the top of this page saying "Information: This board is currently disabled"?

Yeah, yeah... you understood what you were getting into, which is why you didn't think you'd be the main focus. Idiot.

And, yes, let's DO give some thought to those of us paying too much for gas and having to deal with real issues causing real suffering. Having politicians and journalists have fun for one whole evening is so horribly, terribly and irresponsibly inappropriate. Spending 2 or 3 weeks having the news cycle talking about whether or not the President has the proper papers, insinuating he couldn't have gotten into good school on his own and all that other stuff that most Americans - well, most sane ones, anyway - weren't worried about in the first place. How much did getting Obama to show his BC reduce the cost of gas, Donald? How did it help resolve any budgetary issues? If you want to talk about inappropriately diverting the focus from important issues, go talk to the man in the mirror.

(And, yes, I'm beginning to understand why Obama decided to release it. I'm still exceptionally angry about it, but that anger is shifting hard and fast away from Obama and onto the miscreants and nithings who ginned up this whole fake controversy in the first place and have worked so hard to perpetuate it. )

I know exactly what you mean - I still have that momentary "please no" feeling when I get news alerts, too - and believe me - Odin and Tyr have gotten many requests from me to keep him safe! I have to say, while it's horribly sad that such an anxiety exists at all, on a personal level, I feel somewhat less neurotic knowing I'm not the only one who twinges a bit when a news alert pops up...

I admire him more too as the years go by, but...Gulp...that Breaking News thing also gives me a palpitation and just did, as I turned on CNN & we await whatever announcement the President might be making on a Sunday night at 10:30 PM.

I love to see the President best the racist idiots who hate him so much, while he smiles & laughs at them. So I'll be clicking on that video with Obama's LFCOLB dancing to I Am a Real American whenever I want a laugh.

It's the wrong thread but I also want to say a big Mahalo  kate for your already great reporting from the site of Orly's showdown in court. Have fun tomorrow!

No Trump this year that I could see. Most of the jabs were for Romney and the campaign taking pot shots at Obama for writing about being given dog to eat as a child in Indonesia. But the President did start off with a good Trump joke talking about it being the anniversary of justice for a tyrant.

One of Kimmel's best jokes was the last one about the press and how they have fallen down on the job. "That's what some people say."

What were your favorites? least favorites?

I thought Obama was great as usual. Kimmel? My opinion is he was :turd: He had some funny jokes but his timing and delivery were abysmal.

Yep, O was excellent. Kimmel had some good lines and some lousy lines. But Obama was the show.

He was hilarious, loved it :-bd

Right wing feigned outrage about the President daring to have a sense of humor, and the sometimes rather harsh, pointed jokes, etc in 3, 2, 1......
