From the time I was a child, I was taught that it's not what you have, but what you do with what you have that matters.

My experience thus far with Mensa and its members has formed my opinion that they're a bunch of losers, mostly, who think they deserve some recognition because they can pass a test, without actually having to do accomplish anything.

Some of the smartest people I've known have been those who know how to hire people who are smarter than they are in key areas to cover their asses.

My studio mate's husband is a MENSA member, as he has informed me on numerous occasions. He's also a pompous, condescending, rude, socially inept, over-bearing bully. Judging from the comments I hear from my studio mate about the other members of the local group, he's a representative sample.

I posted the links up thread. I had no problem clicking and playing without downloading.

I'm posting from my phone and can't post the link to my post, but back a page toward the bottom.

When I was interviewing my second year of law school, the most frequent questions I got was: (1) how to make a perfect martini (I had been a bartender) and (2) how did I manage to end up at Boalt having been expelled three times as an undergrad at UCLA (sneaky reference to my law school). I eventually ended up at O'Melveny & Myers for three years.

 Missed that post. I'm told the first file in the series of three is 400 megabytes -- that's huge and not appropriate for streaming via most internet connections. The tubes must be quite good at your FEMA camp. Sadly, Soros cut my budget, so I've had to suffice with less.

I remember being dragged to a Mensa Mixer during my senior year in college (1968) and was disappointed on several counts. First, they served Kool Aid in specimen cups instead of free booze. Second, most of the women attendees were, well, not too up on what was actually happening in the country (noting that the Summer of Love happened in 1967). Third, the eligibility requirements were surprisingly low.

IIRC, Mensa would take you if you had a combined SAT score of only 1300 -- two lousy 650s, plus or minus. Gimme a break. I didn't consider that to be particularly stellar college boards. If you were stuck with 1300 SATs and weren't a legacy, it'd be a real uphill battle to get into an Ivy or any highly selective college for that matter.

Geniuses my ass. But I'll grant you that Mensa members tend to be unusual.

I'm ready for that one.

Is this Klayman's (Kleyman's)? If so, he better start begging for more PayPal pushes so that he can afford to gear up and respond to these dastardly attacks on civilization.

I don't see any template in the DIY Ballot Challenge Kit for RESPONDING to a motion for summary judgment. Birtherfakeparalegal had better get busy drafting.

Why? Any opposition, or paper of any kind, will be just as effective.

It's behind the paywall. The Free templates are just a loss-leader.

Yeah, prolly costs another $5. How hard is it to write, "genuine material facts are in dispute" followed a list with stuff like "Obama henchmen murdered Lt. Quarles" or "Obama received scholarship reserved for foreign students." (These items are always material.) And then some blank lines for customizing.

That's gotta be worth an extra fin.

I'm thinking there's an extra-special set of templates whose price varies with the countdown on Klayman's outstanding child support garnishment.

The learning curve around the country is getting shorter. The defendants in these wholly frivolous birther suits (and, they all are frivolous), are beginning to realize that filing answers along with motions to dismiss cuts off the opportunity of the plaintiffs to amend and stretch things out (unless the defendants like the amendments).

The other lesson that's been learned is that you now actively and aggressively oppose non lawyers representing their cohorts (Pam Barnett in California) and unadmitted lawyers trying to appear PHV (Orly Taitz, everywhere).

And you start asking for monetary sanctions.

It ain't beanbag any more, Mr. Dooley.
