Kind of a stupid news piece, IMO. A law from the 60s is archaic?

Judges were using their discretion to determine sentences for decades before the federal sentencing guidelines were developed. I think this federal judge will be able to resolve the "quandary".

With no guidelines, Huff is kinda playing Moldovan Roulette. Could be 1 years, could be 15??? 8-)

I wonder how long Huff should be a member of the Federal Tranny Hunting Taskforce???? I wonder if his toy is getting lonesome? How much time is it going to have to wait before "mommy" is out of the can.

Can someone who IACL or JARL tell me, is this a normal course of action?

The guy was convicted around six months ago. Wouldn't he want to get the sentencing out of the way? Maybe the judge was going to let him off with time served, or just give him probation.

Is this a typical strategy?
