Maybe you're talking about the timing of the post, but it doesn't violate:

Quote:
DO NOT CRITICIZE THE ADHERENTS OR BELIEVERS OF ANY RELIGION ON FOGBOW.

YOU MAY CRITICIZE A RELIGION ITSELF, OR A RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION.

BUT BLANKET CRITICAL STATEMENTS ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN A RELIGION WILL BE DELETED, AND I WILL GIVE A BOARD WARNING.

I myself would have waited a day or so before making the post :)

Then you have vastly underestimated how upsetting this has been, and how insistent people seem to be to continue withthis crusade regardless, no matter how upset people are. There is such a thing as just dropping this. But no, lets keep on kicking when feelings are red raw.

I won't lock a third thread.

I'll simply take the whole forum offline for 24 hours. I'm sure the birthers won't miss us.

HEY. I never appreciated it when the substitute teachers kept us all after school when it was just Jimmy and Petey doing bad stuff, and I don't appreciate the idea now, man.

There are a lot of perfectly great posters who are doing nothing wrong. Punishing them would be wrong.

Cut it out everybody! Listen to Foogie! We need this resource and the good people on it for our anti-birther work. Opposing the birthers and their lies is, after all, the primary reason for this board.

You're right.

I won't lock any more threads, though. I'll zap posts and start handing out board warnings.

There IS a difference between attacking a religion and the believers in a religion.

Tollie's post didn't violate any rules. I'm just pissed off, that's all. Not totally insane.

Yet.

Please, let's let this die. I'm just trying to keep the board a pleasant place for everyone here.

I'm at my wit's end.

Foog, honest to god, you're doing a great thing.

Could we all just take a few days off from this one topic, voluntarily-like? Let things cool a little? There's a ton of other topics in the world.

I could start another water and butter catastrophe...

Thank you. I hope so. I feel terrible today.

Please. Is anything going on with the birthers? I haven't had time to check for a day now.

Well, there is the happy topic of my health...

Well, its not too bad really. I just had my blood tested and I have high levels of colesterol, which desnt bother my but I'm on yet MORE pills. WHats worring though is that my blood sugar is rather high. So I was in the docs this morning hving a glocose tolerance test done, to know if I have low level dibetes. I'll know the result monday or tuesday

Gotta love socialised medicine.

In other news i have been offered a house for a low rent. its a 3 bedroomed house and I'm seriously concidering taking it. A house is a lot more work than the place I have though. But I'll be able to maybe get a couple of kittehs, and hang my washing out on the line, and maybe even sit outside and read like I like doing. What do you think?

I feel like I picked the wrong morning to bump a couple of threads on conspiracies and scientific publications. But maybe you'd like to go read them.

Here's something cool: Great SkySafari astronomy apps discounted this month.

Our zucchini and cucumber seedlings are sprouting.

The sun just came out, which means the dogs will be calm(er) for a bit.

We got our first Mitt Romney flier the other day, with a fund-raising appeal for the general election. Maybe I'll write more about it in the 2012 campaign threads. His theme (for now): "I Believe In America." (Tacit subhead: "Unlike That Guy".) And send money.

Is it Thursday? Good. Our cul-de-sac was seal-coated and re-striped on Monday and Tuesday, which means the street was blocked off, which means the garbage was not picked up. For some reason we are both especially grumpy about this, even though the street looks very nice all spiffed up. And the recycling has to wait till NEXT Monday night. :x

With three bedrooms you'll have room for dozens of kittehs ...

Strangely enough, high content cocoa bitter sweet dark chocolate is a very good cholesterol "drug." Are you taking Omega 3s?

Better than Omega 6s.

Fish oil. You take them instead of microfish.

Yeah, I've been put on 1000mg Omega 3 capsules as well as the drug. They are gonna have me on these for 3 months and see if it drops the Colesterol down. My family has a history of heart desease so I think they are bieng precautionary.

Only 1000 mg (which is a fancy way of writing 1 g)? I take 3000 mg (3 g).

Eh, what's that about? Offering some inexpensive remedies is "superiour"?

Geesh.

Hey, it happens. My cholesterol did go through the roof. Took several years and a whole new diet.

That's not feeling superior. That's trying to be encouraging. You can win this battle, it's been done before.
