I was just listening to the Stephanie Miller show. A guy called in and said he was really offended by Corsi's "noose" comment, so he called Corsi at the phone # that was posted all over the internet. He was shocked when Jesus H. Corsi answered the phone, but went ahead and told Corsi he was a racist idiot. Corsi demanded the guy's name (the caller said he did nothing to hide his name, and did not block his phone # when he called). Anyway, the caller said that last night he was subjected to numerous texts from Corsi telling him he'd been reported to the FBI, etc.

GOod Grief, is David Icke still around? I thought people gave up on that idiot when his prediction about the sinking of Cuba was off by, to date, 20 years and counting.

I once read an article in which several attorneys and aides who worked in the Carter WH agreed that he was one of the smartest and most mentally agile people they ever met. They said he could take a briefing paper on almost any subject, read and absorb it almost instantaneously and be ready to discuss the salient points. I always felt that in many ways he was so far out in front that people just didn't understand him, and he didn't connect.

Carter was - and is - brilliant.

The problem with Carter is that the president should not be hung up on minor details going on in the Department of Weights and Measures. Clinton was brilliant and could do similar things with briefing papers, but he didn't use that as an excuse to give lectures or micromanage unimportant projects.

Carter was a one-termer because his own party just got sick of him.

Offtopic :
A few of the people who rose to the Presidency have had extraordinary mental capabilities, often mixed with ability to focus like a laser.
Teddy Roosevelt was a natural speed reader with a photographic memory who from childhood devoured books and records and statistics - and he remembered every speck of what he read. He'd creep people out by reciting verbatim to them passages of books they'd written decades earlier and he would debate minute points - sometimes in one of the 7 languages he spoke and read. He was a freak, but he was an honest and self disciplined man.
JFK was also a speed reader with incredible absorption and memory abilities, and he was a deep thinker. Jimmy Carter is in the same category of smarts, combined with an intense self discipline, hard work ethic and strong moral foundation. He's to be admired for all he has done, all of his life. Jimmy didn't vanish to loaf around his ranch after he left the White House; he's stayed active and committed to making this a better world. Bill Clinton also has that type of giant flexible intellect - hungry for information and with a scarey ability to absorb and retain and recall details, and to assimilate bits and pieces from all over the place that specialist can't do. Obama is likewise an intellectual monster, and he has extreme awareness and self discipline and self control. He absorbs and observes and catalogs everything, knows where he is and what the game is about all the time. People who work with him say he misses very little and does not forget anything, is excellent at using time, and he asks the right questions. Like Clinton and Jimmy, Obama sucks in data like its air, but he doesn't get lost in weeds or distracted. He retains all and is exceptional at using massive amounts of information he has stored covering a wide array of topics and does so in ways very very few humans can. We're lucky to have Barack Obama as our President. He, they, truly are different - they aren't "like us".
Romney, GW Bush, Rick Perry, Paul Ryan, Ronald Reagan....they couldn't make a move without somebody instructing them which foot to put forward first.
Jimmy Carter is a great person, but he made mistakes as President - one of them was he underestimated how low would the Reagan-Bush neocons go to gain power.

He's one of my all-time favorite presidents (along with Obama and Clinton - I know, this makes me a granola-crunching hippy-dip liburul) and really was cast unfairly by Reagan and the public at the time. He was done in by the "malaise" comment (for speaking the truth, bad bad), and the great misfortune of being president during an extraordinary event - the taking of a country's embassy and holding of hostages - no president ever had to face such conditions. But yeh, let's just forget the whole Begin/Sadat peace thing, that was trivial right?

His acts since leaving office (building homes for the poor, being a go-to peacemaker/diplomat for various presidents) have shown the character of a wrongly maligned man. I believe history will reflect this one day.

Quote:
Dismiss complaint without a word of explanation

The Supreme Court in Georgia has dismissed a case questioning Barack Obama’s eligibility without comment, dodging a sticky question that continues to be raised four years after the issue first was brought to the attention of American courts – and before Obama was elected to his term as president.

Arizona lawman Joe Arpaio reminded everyone why he’s considered “America’s toughest sheriff” when he took a Fox News anchor to task in a live interview this afternoon.

Appearing on “America Live” with Megyn Kelly, Arpaio told Kelly she was wrong in some of her reporting about a federal investigation into his treatment of Hispanics in Maricopa County, Ariz.

Here is the question that should be asked and an appropriate follow-up suggestion should the response be a predictable political dodge:

“Do you believe Obama is a ‘natural born citizen,’ not merely a U.S. citizen, but a ‘natural born citizen’?”

If the politician tries to sidestep the issue by asking the citizen journalist what he means by “natural born citizen,” the good citizen should respond: “Never mind my definition – I’m not running for office. Do you believe Obama is a natural born U.S. citizen?”

I can pledge that any video or audio recordings of such questions and answers will be posted forthwith at WND. Just send them directly to me.

That sounds strangely similar to Popeye's circular reasoning.
Demand an answer to a question you have no intention of clarifying, then claim evasion of the question and attack the answerer.

It's worked for a couple of hundred posts in Popeye's thread.

Four big fat lies

Quote:
Howard Dean, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee at time, and then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi changed the rules in Obama’s favor as the primaries went on, Thomas said.

I'll assume she is referring to MI & FL which was taken care of before the primaries even started. That;s why most candidates took their name off the ballot in MI (FL had different rules where to be removed from the ballot you had to sign an affidavit that you were dropping out of the race)

Quote:
“The leadership of the Democratic Party were not going to let Hillary win the nomination; it didn’t matter what Democratic voters wanted,” she said.

The Democratic voters picked Obama.

Quote:
By June 2008, Thomas said, the Democratic Party and the media declared Obama the winner of the Democratic Party presidential nomination even though Obama did not have the necessary number of delegates and Clinton, at most, was only a few behind Obama in the delegate count.

They declared him to be the winner because he won

Quote:
Thomas turned to Bill Gwatney, the chairman of the Arkansas Democratic Party and a close personal friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton, to pick a super-delegate from the Arkansas delegation to introduce her petition at the convention.

Why would Gwatney have to pick a super delegate if he was supportive of this plan? He WAS a super delegate. In fact all of the Super Delegates in AR were initially for Hillary but that changed when the plan was decided for unanimous consent to reflect party unity...the whole thing PUMAs were fighting against . BTW this lunatic has added the late Congresswoman Tubb-Jones to the conspiracy.

NYT wrote:
A last-minute rush of Democratic superdelegates, as well as the results from the final primaries, in Montana and South Dakota, pushed Mr. Obama over the threshold of winning the 2,118 delegates needed to be nominated at the party’s convention in August

He beat her by over 100 pledged delegates and 200 Superdelegates.

I was a Clinton supporter, I fought damn hard for her but right around June Clinton people started getting a little insane.

This idiot then gets upset because her PUMA petition was trumped by HILLARY CLINTON calling for a vote of unanimous consent.

It was one of the most humble moments I have ever seen in a politician and made me damn proud of Hillary.

Disagree. Carter definitely had political liabilities but the main thing that killed his (continuing) presidency was the hostage crisis.

I believe the answer might be that WorldNetDaily *doesn't* merit White House press credentials. Les Kinsolving does; he's been part of the White House press corps since 1974. By bringing Kinsolving into the WND fold, Farah basically maneuvered his way into the press corps.

At the same time, the press corps has been increasingly opened to internet news sites. Mediaite and FiveThirtyEight.com both have White House correspondents too, for instance.
