foggy when i used to use ipb i would have to modify each theme with the new coding you have to do it with every style which is why the install files have the code edits.

How about the View more smilies link go directly to page 2 of the smilies? We were already on page 1 and when we click the link we get page 1 again.

There used to be a mod for PHPBB that was like a smiley category. You could make categories for smileys and then organize them into tidy little folders which would make accessing them easier.

I hope that is not the final version? We tried having them all on the right before and everyone complained.

Can you fit the smilies underneath the preview/submit buttons. They would be easily accessible without requiring those who aren't using them to scroll though them.

I think what Stern was suggesting is that Page 1 is just a repeat of the ones to the right (on my theme) of the text box. Could you eliminate Page 1 or change the order on the "View more smilies" window?

The mod I found made things worse, so I uninstalled it.

However, I can't use a mod from phpbbhacks or efrig or any of those. I once installed a mod that hadn't been approved by the official phpBB team, and it broke something else and turned into a disaster.

It's really not that painful to scroll down when you get the "more smilies" window.

That's right, but not your fault at all. I knew it wasn't officially approved.

When I went to restore all the files, I "restored" all the attachments for two years in ASCII instead of binary, and we lost them. Smithereens was NOT happy, and for good reason. And it caused another stink when that idiot friend of Belcher decided it was just his attachment that got messed up, and wrote a whole web page about it.
