I've been going through an old file of quotes I've got on one of my computers, and came upon this wonderful little bit of The Bard:

Macbeth, Act 3, Scene 4 wrote:

the times have been,
That, when the brains were out, the man would die,

Don't know what made me think that's appropriate for this board.
