I believe you, I believe you! I was just snarkily comparing your admittedly nutty kitteh's behavior to Orly, especially with regard to the different treatment of authority figures (judges)...sweet as pie and bats her eyes at males while she'd definitely like to draw blood from the females.

Oooops my snarkmeter must need new batteries :)

PS) When I got her fixed I picked her up from the Vets at 4:30. I took her to my office in the cat carrier to finish out my day. By 5pm I heard a "thud, thud" on the carrier, it was Ms. Peaches ripping out her stitches. I called the vet and the tech said "my, that is a record!" I took her back to the vets and they had to put her back under anesthesia in order to re-stitch her and wrap her belly so tight she couldn't pull that shit again. Like I said, completely and utterly insane. Sad really.

Color me allergic.

My family just rescued 4 tiny kittens left under a dumpster outside an unstaffed fire station at Lake Sherwood. The kittens have just opened their eyes. They were very hungry so we went to a Petsmart and bought a couple of bottles and nipples and infant cat formula. The ex is taking them to the vet this afternoon and my children have already lined up homes for them via Facebook when they are big enough.

Sorry, SueDB that I am so far away because they all had your name on them.

I got my hands full with the two big kittens (both under a year)...I do know a guy.....
Thank you for thinking of my family. Mebbe you aren't such a grump after all.

Way to disillusion a gal, Stern.

Next you'll be saying there's no Easter Bunny.

Stern would never do that!!! The thought of having to pay big bucks on vet bills if the kittehs didn't go down right and made the dogs sick would surely be enough to give him pause.

Can we get an update on the Friegen kittens? Sex? Weights? Names? Endearing habits?

Two ginger, two brownish (the female "calico"). One male and female of each color. Weight 16, 15, 14 and 12 ounces, the females being the bruisers. The vet guesstimates they are 3 weeks old. They are all doing fine. Actually pooping and peeing in a kitty litter box they clamber into and out of. As for pictures, I don't know how to post them here and I would sneeze if I saw them.

They are being fed every 2-3 hours. But not by me.

Once upon a time, we had one cat. Her name is Sagan, and she always looks like this:

Image

She knows how to deal with basenjis. (Don't ever run! Yell at them if they get too boisterous.)

Then my daughter's dad said, "hey, do you want your childhood cat? The one that lives at my house and pees on the carpets?" My daughter said, "yes!"

Image

Her name is Maggie, and she is too fragile for the basenjis. She needs TLC, as well, so we moved her into our bedroom. And bought the second catbox.

Then a scrabble friend of ours posted on facebook that he had been walking outside barnes and noble, and this teensy kitten had jumped/fallen from a tree and run into the glass doors of the store in terror. He's a vet tech, so he took her home to keep an eye on her overnight, and then took her to work. Clean bill of health. Daughter said "!!!"

Her name is Monkey. She runs like a squirrel and is definitely not safe around basenjis. She lives in the basement "studio apartment" with my daughter.

Image

My danged SISTER, who I love, posted on facebook that a friend of HERS had a momma and kitten (the sole survivor of four in the litter) and did anyone need a kitten?

My daughter said "!!!"

Image

Her name is Sabrina, and she's still not in perfect health, but she's pretty cute! She lives in the basement with daughter and Monkey and now Sagan, who keeps the babies in line.

We have three catboxes and one travel catbox.

Let this be a lesson to any of you. Never let your daughter go on facebook.
