Still nothing about her "most explosive *new* evidence" on IN commissioners, but..

I just gave an interview to Channel 4 Bay area. Pictures with Newt Gingrich, Tim Powlenty and GOP national chairman Rense Preibus will be posted later today

I was interviewed by Channel 4 Bay Area and was asked, whether a more conservative platform of the California GOP will cause the candidates to lose independant voters.

My response was, that the voters look at individual candidates, to see, if the platform of those candidates appeal to them. Typically the voters do not look at the platform of the party as a whole.

I explained that the economic provisions of my platform will be beneficial for every Californian, regardless, whether he is a Republican, Independant or a Democrat. My proposal of a 5 year moratorium on taxation of the companies, which repatriate to the US and hire American citizens, will be an employment incentive, which will benefit any employee or emploer regardles of party affiliation.

My provision of a tariff or duty on the corporations importing products from the third world countries will help overcome the disparity in cost, which is caused by the added expense of stringent EPA regulations. It will help CA and US companies as a whole to stay more competitive

OOPS!! listeme beat me tothe scoop... sorry listeme, didn't see yours before I hit submit.

Now I am about the furthest thing from an economist a human can be, but it seems to me that imposing tariffs on products from Third World countries will do nothing more than damage the economies of said Third World countries. Which would perpetually keep them Third World countries.

Most of her suggestions would violate our GAAT obligations, violate numerous treaties we have throughout the world and spur a trade war. It's simply another area of human endeavor where Taitz doesn't know what she's doing.

But Taitz's proposal to give corporations tax breaks to repatriate profits and hire Americans sounds vaguely familiar. I believe a prolific poster here suggested something along those lines last year. So, Taitz's grazing here has paid off with one idea which is of interest (although not in its current form).

Steep tariffs, i.e. tariffs focused on imports from "Third World" countries according to Taitz's jest of her platform, could have effects here as well. At the time of the Great Depression, imports were an insignificant part of our economy. The Smoot-Hawley tariffs did little to sustain the Great Depression, which had begun seven months earlier. Today the effect might be far greater. There are better ways of addressing the disparity between American costs and "Third World" costs of production, beginning with improving the economies of developing countries.

Poor TPaw...

In 2008, he got passed over for the VP nod, in spite of the announcer welcoming Gov. Pawlenty when introducing Sarah Palin.

He got hammered in the GOP primaries this time around.

He was forced into being a shill for Romney.

And now Orly spells his name wrong.

I guess that's the jest gist of it.

Trade Wars - move from using military might to economic might to subjugate the "enemy".

Can someone who is in the Channel 4 viewing area get back to us on Feb 30? As I understand it, they plan on running an edited version then. It takes a bit of time to edit a 30 minute interview down to the essential 20 seconds.

I think that's true, not to mention the fact that Feb 30th is the one day of the year when Orly's presentations make sense.

Orly has pictures up of her with the Gingrich's and one of her with Preibus and Pawlenty. She appears to have done a wardrobe change between shots. She really needs to get to her hairstylist and get those roots taken care of.

Orly with Newtie and Callie. If Gingrich were not so far out of contention now, this picture would do some damage.

Well, we know that she was admitted for entrance to the event; she has yet to say anything about being allowed to speak at the event.

Can anyone explain what the "time warp" feature of Orly's site is all about? I'm pre-guessing the answer to that is "no."
