Santorum Spokesman Not a Fan of Obama’s ‘Radical Islamic’ Environmental Policies

Alice Stewart, a spokeswoman for the Santorum campaign, was on MSNBC today to do damage control after Rick Santorum seemed to question President Obama's religious faith over the weekend. Instead, she made one of the most hilarious Freudian slips we've heard in a long time when she referred to Obama's "radical Islamic" energy policies. Stewart later called up MSNBC to clarify that she did not mean to say that, out loud, in public.

GOP Presidential hopeful and grimacing zealot Rick Santorum celebrated President's Day by unleashing a series of jaw-dropping absurdity almost majestic in scale. From chastising Obama for not governing America with Biblical values to calling for an end to public schools, it was a veritable celebration of fuckery. Let's tour the inanity.

On Saturday, Santorum told a crowd that public schools are relics of the Industrial Revolution, that they're akin to factory work for children and that they should be abolished. So, who should be educating America's children? The parents, of course! Santorum told the crowd that if hell freezes over and figure skating pigs with wings take over the netherworld and he's elected President, he'll be homeschooling his kids as well. Because it's the right way to do things.

No one asked Rick Santorum how America's families were supposed to find the time or money to homeschool, as home schooling often requires at least one parent to be at home schooling the wee ones rather than working, but I'm sure in his addled mind, the reason most American families can't afford to home school is because of sluts. Or gays. Or slutty gays. It's always about the slutty gays with this one.

Santorum also managed to find time for a little bit of birther paranoia in his busy schedule, telling a crowd in Columbus, Ohio, that President Obama wasn't running America using Biblical values. Of Obama's agenda, he told the crowd, "It's not about your quality of life. It's not about your jobs. It's about some phony ideal. Some phony theology. Oh, not a theology based on the Bible. A different theology."[...]

I have never seen anything like this campaign. It is obvious that many Republicans want anyone other than Rmoney but when someone rises in the polls to challenge him they seem to all simultaneously have a WTF moment and say we can't nominate this guy. It has happened at least 3 times with Perry, Cain, and Gingrich and I see signs of it happening with Santorum.

What on Earth is this "theological secularism". In my native tongue, that is an oxymoron; perhaps one that would generate a huge exothermic reaction when assembled.

Because Santorum^{google it} is obsessed with other people's sexual activities, I predict it'll be someone else's middle foot.

The former Pennsylvania U.S. Senator delivered, for the most part, a ‘God and Country’ speech, pitting himself and his conservative audience against what he termed the liberal, socialist Obama administration. He offered voters a choice on Super Tuesday.

“Someone who can clearly go after President Obama on issue after issue, draw clear bright contrasts, make him accountable for the record he has,” Santorum said. "That’s your choice, two weeks from Tuesday."

Hardline evangelicals do not consider Catholics or Mormons to be Christians. Seriously. Just ask them. Ironically, Newt, Santorum and Romney are sinners to them. Maybe the evangelicals don't want to hold their nose and vote. And so they're calling up Palin and begging her to make a run.
