Just gossip so far. I'll change the topic title if it comes to be. (or a greenie can fix it if they want to.)

Harry Riley sez:

Quote:
I have been contacted and advised that a "very high profile" attorney is willing to provide all the legal action necessary to fight the good fight. I am unable to offer a name at this point but he has sued a US president and won...........doesn't mean he will win the next one but he knows the game plus will bring the publicity to Florida we need to keep Obama's illegal status in the press....leading to his removal or defeat whichever comes first.

There is a sizable $12K fee involved, which will fund the entire Florida State action and I can't handle it all myself.......what I need to know before I commit to being a "plaintiff" in a legal action against the State of Florida, how many out there are willing to put funds toward the attorney expenses? Anyone else that votes in Florida and wants to volunteer as a plaintiff, advise me about it. Donations accepted from everyone.

Then he begs for money.

The whole post is here:

This birfer litigation sounds profitable. IANAL, but how hard is it to file a complaint and lose?

Who could the attorney be? If it's a "he" could it be Kreep, Berg, Irion or Apuzzo?

Who has "beaten Obama a U.S. president"? i.e., sued the government and received a favorable ruling? That knocks Berg right out, and I think Irion as well. Kreep has filed an amicus brief for a winning side in many cases; surely that's a win. And Apuzzo dabbles in immigration work; he might have obtained for someone an adjustment of status, or something.

Edit: Mimi is correct!

Klayman sounds like a possible candidate.

And, lest there be any doubt that birthers are just about the smear, note that they don't really care if they win.

It's all about the smears that accompany the birfing.

I was going to post Klayman but decided to wait until reading to the end of the thread. He's definitely on the short list.

Klayman was publicly reprimanded, but he's otherwise eligible to practice in Florida.

And can surely use the money.

Guessing Klayman for Florida and CA ballot challenges?

The Obama Defense Team has Finally Met Its Match. =)) =)) =))

You guessed correctly. \:D/

The filings must be made in a week if we are to hold Obama accountable and prevent him from being on the ballot.

But he's not exactly a pro bono "patriot."

It’s Now or Never.

Once the ballots are printed in all 50 states it will be too late. What would follow is a rigged election and Eric Holder to rubber-stamp the results. The best we could do then is a rearguard vote challenge and battle our way up the steps of the inauguration platform.

We are not alone and we have an excellent opportunity to succeed. We are putting together an unbeatable legal team headed by Larry Klayman. =)) He is taking our cases in his private capacity- that’s how important it is to him, he told us. [but not important enough to do so pro bono it seems, for this unbeatable legal team]

For more than 3 decades, Mr. Klayman has forced to their knees the most corrupt of businesses and politicians, including a president, Bill Clinton.

Plaintiffs are lined up in Florida and California and some complaints have already been drawn. What we need for a victory in court is your help to raise the money needed to cover legal expenses.

Bank accounts have been established for this epic legal battle. Progress in fundraising and in the legal arena will be covered in detail at the website, including live video broadcasting by Article II SuperPAC

So, Larry finally has found a (maybe) paying grift, lol.

Maybe he'll be able to pay back the client he shafted.

I wonder how Klayman's lawsuit against Rachel Maddow is doing?

Really, with the fee he'd receive from the $50 Million he was looking for, he should probably do the birfer thing pro bono.

http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.c ... eer_is.php

The birthers should ask for a freebie.

Assistance with what? Why YOU should help:

Someone representing himself in court has a fool for a client – some eligibility challenge plaintiffs lack representation, funding. We need attorneys and funding.

We must have top flight counsel for this important struggle, against top flight, well-funded opposition. It’s especially important to address legal obstacles –and erect new ones to keep “Obama” off the ballot. Also important to publicize the truth about Obama and damage him badly- win or lose.

People standing on the sidelines need to help in any way they can, with time, donations, influence. Existing movement supporters may want to support this effort to raise the bar. This adds to the NBC expertise of Apuzzo and Donofrio, as well as the document/identity fraud work of Taitz and investigators, =)) in addition to providing coverage of more jurisdictions- a major escalation in the war on ineligibility.

We have a time-sensitive opportunity to hire a top-flight, nationally known, dream attorney, Larry Klayman. ](*,)

Larry Klayman, founder of Judicial Watch, Freedom Watch, the only one who ever successfully sued a sitting President, sued over Kagan Obamacare recusal, Access to secret White House Obamacare meetings, Represents Jerome Corsi, currently litigating “Where’s the Birth Certificate” book defamation fight with Esquire, 9/11 damages suit; suing Iran, Ahmadinejad, Ayatollah Khamenei, and the Revolutionary Guard, US Treasury & Federal Reserve;http://www.freedomwatchusa.org/cases

\:D/

I think I could successfully sue someone... winning? Maybe not so much.

Must be killing them that President Obama's poll numbers are continuing to improve. Gallup has had him in positive territory for several days now and even Rasmussen has him polling better than he has since last June.

A 1998 article on Klayman...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/po ... 053098.htm

Quote:
Larry Klayman is right where he's always wanted to be: in the middle of every Democratic scandal ricocheting through Washington.

This week, the controversial legal gadfly  who has peppered the Clinton administration with no fewer than 18 lawsuits actually found independent counsel Kenneth W. Starr following his lead. In recent days Starr has issued subpoenas for the sworn depositions of several Pentagon officials taken earlier this month by Klayman.

[...]

On some matters, Klayman gets legal standing by representing plaintiffs seeking damages, as with the FBI files suit in which he's working on behalf of Republicans whose files were obtained by the White House. In other suits, Judicial Watch itself is the plaintiff and files suit, as any citizen can, under the Freedom of Information Act -- such as one action seeking information on how participants are selected for Commerce trade missions. So far, none of the cases have been resolved.

[...]

Not that Lamberth has given Klayman everything he's requested. The judge blocked Judicial Watch's efforts to depose White House aide Rahm Emanuel, White House press secretary Michael McCurry and others, arguing that Klayman had not proven their relevance to the FBI files suit. And in January, the judge was incensed by a Judicial Watch fund-raising mailer pleading for $100,000 in donations to cover the expense of taking Hillary Clinton's deposition, an event described in the pitch as "imminent and inevitable."

"You're not going to start with her, if you're ever going to get her," fumed Lamberthat a court hearing. "And the notion that I have authorized that she be deposed is poppycock."

I Swammy Tomtech can see the future.

The case will be dismissed on a motion to dismiss as not ripe based on the fact that the case was filed prior to the filing of notice of candidacy by the Democratic Party after their convention.

Klayman will keep the money, and be in the clear because he acceded to his clients wishes by filing the initial complaint when he did. =))

I can't tell when this was written, but lots of stuff.

Quote:
In 1992 in California, Klayman lost a patent case on behalf of a distributor of bathroom accessories. His obnoxious behavior got him barred from Judge William Keller's courtroom for life. Klayman has hounded Keller ever since. He appealed the ruling, accusing Keller of being anti-Semitic and anti-Asian (Klayman is Jewish; his client was Taiwanese). After losing his appeal and being scolded by the appeals court judges, he tried to appeal to the Supreme Court. He has not given up yet. It is this matter, he has said, which led him to found Judicial Watch in 1994. The organization supports requiring judges to undergo psychological testing and holding them personally liable for "reckless" rulings. It also advocates removing Keller from the bench.

Quote:
Recently, Klayman has come into conflict with the current president of Judicial Watch, Tom Fitton. After leaving the organization in 2003 in order to campaign for the Senate, Klayman entrusted Judicial Watch to his deputy, Tom Fitton. Klayman later filed a lawsuit against Fitton, objecting to breach of "various agreements and laws," and reneging on Klayman's severance package after his departure from that legal firm. The substance of the lawsuit is Judicial Watch's allegation that Klayman diverted more than $200,000 in funds from the organization for personal use, said funds relating to expenses and interest formerly shared between Judicial Watch and Klayman's for-profit law firm, Klayman & Associates. This is according to Judicial Watch's most recently-filed IRS Form 990.

I don't know, call me crazy, but I'm not sure how I see that hiring Klayman represents trading up from Orly.

It's more like trading the uniboob for rejecticles. But the same amount of fail. For a higher price.

IANAL, maybe someone can remind me... is Florida one of those states where you can bump someone off the ballot without any grounds whatsoever?

TYVM.
