WND: Why wasn't Obama in contempt of court?
Quote:
Diana West risks 'birther' label by analyzing evidence in hearing BHO 'boycotted'

Already I can feel the chill hiss of “birther” at the mere mention of these events, all because I haven’t included the mob-requisite catcalls that are “supposed” to go along with such accounts. But there’s nothing to mock here.

[...]

The day before the hearing, Jablonksi announced he and the president would “suspend further participation” in the proceedings; Brian Kemp, the Georgia secretary of state, retorted that Jablonski and his client would “do so at your own peril.” On hearing day, the defense and defendant didn’t just rest; they didn’t show up, defying the subpoena summoning Jablonski and the president to court. (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution later styled the president’s rejection of his subpoena as a boycott.) Contempt of court, anyone? How about just a headline?

Nope. Headlines could wait – at least until the story came out “right,” which it did when both the judge and secretary of state ruled this month in favor of President Obama.

Obama’s on the Georgia ballot; “birthers” lose again. The narrative is locked down.

So we come to the real problem for WND - there was no publicity. I think the boycott looks better and better as time goes by.

Ya know, I'd just bet the sane people in Georgia would fully welcome a boycott of their state by birthers.

Just sayin...

Taitz's understanding of American Government is that the President controls all agencies, especially the independent ones, and all decisions he makes are in response to Taitz's challenges. Basically, the President is operating the entire Government to thwart Taitz.

The megalomania is stunning. Almost as massive as Taitz's incompetence. Which was in its full glory against an empty chair in Atlanta.

Federal approval for a NEW Nuclear Power Plant and
Uniterupted funding for the Savanah River Project.

You wondered how he could have sold us out? Now you know. AMERICA has, quite literally, been sold down the river by the SOS, GOV, State Atty Gen and the Judiciary so that money can flow into this State. They made their choice and the Constitution, the Republic and the Rule of Law be damned.
Give the turncoats their due.., they've been working far longer at destroying this country than we have at restoring it. Hey, it's good to be King. Right?
We are by no means done so don't give up hope.., I haven't.
Appeal will be submitted on or around Monday with other concurrent actions being weighed.

It's also simply an abject lie. President Obama has been in favor of nuclear power since at least 2008.

Election 2008: Barack Obama on Nuclear Energy
Obama Advocates Solving Problems of Nuclear Energy Before Expanding Its Use

Quote:
Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama favors the continued use of nuclear power and sees it as an integral and inevitable part of any effective U.S. energy policy, especially in light of growing concerns about global warming.

Edit: This provides better support. Obama’s Nuclear-Power Plan Set Back by Japan Quake Aftermath

Quote:
President Barack Obama’s frustrated efforts to revamp U.S. energy policy may face another setback as Japan works to prevent a meltdown at nuclear-power reactors crippled by last week’s earthquake and tsunami.

That article is dated March 14, 2011. I guess the conspiracy to trade nukes for eligibility was already in motion even by then, because the campaign already knew some brain-dead jackasses in Georgia would decide to file a challenge and get a hearing. Instead of stopping the hearing entirely, though, they waited until the hearing was already over to finish the deal.

You are refuting a factually incorrect statement made by Orly regarding the Georgia challenge--seems pretty on-topic to me... now this comment, on the other hand...

Stunning, isn'tabout how little any of them truly understands about how the world works? Every few weeks I get slapped in the face again by this realization.

I guess the fact that the Savannah River Site is located in SC is lost on their logic.

If they start with the assumption that almost everybody else is out to get them, it is easy to end up in a situation in which they distrust the boy drawing their cup of coffee at Dunkin Donuts: what did he slip into my drink? This leads to their Brazen Rule: do unto others before they do unto you. There is a lot of paranoia on the far right wing and among Birfers. Their world is dark, dangerous, and filled with plots. This is not new to reactionary politics, which are based upon fear and distrust. For many of them, their religion encourages them in this direction: the world is an evil place, and Satan lurks around every corner.

I seem to recall seeing that fake incorporated into a chain e mail said to have been circulated by 'expert' Paul Irey a couple of weeks ago.

I look forward to reading how an administrative law judge benefits from a nuclear power plant.

His "price" was possibly a 15 percent reduction in his electric bill. Over a lifetime, that's tens of thousands of dollars. Think about it.

I presume the order came from Governor (the ultimate boss of GOSAH), who also convinced Kemp to accept the recommendation (for some payoff down the road).

Is it just me, or does it seem like Birthistan has really quieted down after the brief but spirited temper trantrum following Kemp's decision in Georgia?

Sounds like Swensson will be filing his appeal on Monday, but that promises to be a non-event.
