Also...

I'm not a facebooker. I don't know if you have to be a 'friend' to read a wall. But, I do know that if a person was military, they usually put something on their front page thing.

http://www.facebook.com/people/Harold-S ... 0248297302

I'm guessing that's our Harold, cuz his interests include Obly, as well as things local to him. But no branch of the military is listed.

Harold Sorensen
Worked at Army & Air Force Exchange Service
Went to Iowa City High School
Lives in Rutledge, Alabama
From Iowa City, Iowa
Army & Air Force Exchange Service
Dallas, Texas
Retired with 33 years of service in 1993

Thanks, BFB. I couldn't see that. (I think I need to get my kitty a new facebook page cuz I don't remember the old one.)

Anyway, so he was a civilian who worked at the Army & Air Force Exchange Service?

Never served?

This guy is really something else.

It's kind of like someone who was a mall security gaurd claiming they worked in "Law Enforcement".

AAFES is commanded by a Major General, with a deputy from the other service (Army or Air Force) that is a 1 star.

Do they have civilian workforce as well?

Their workforce is almost entirely civilian - probably in excess of 99%.

We recently had a very high profile "stolen valor" case here in my area, this guy would routinely turn up at various Military memorial services in full dress blues as a general, with a bunch of fruit salad, and it turns out he was at best a private for a year.

Our Ed was a Marine Colonel in his fondest dreams, IIRC, not yet promoted to General. I don't know how many medals he awarded himself. He was a bit testy about the subject.

Postmasters, for example.

Do you suppose that Major General Sorensen of Alabama J.A.I. L. 4 Judges realize that Chairman Mark Kennedy is a retired Alabama Supreme Court Justice?

On the other hand, I think it is very likely that the former justice has a good idea who Mr. Sorensen is and what his organization's campaign is all about.

I would also bet dollars to doughnuts that Mr. Soroensen was never an officer in the military of any branch.

Hey, I just figured out Sorensen's 2-star uniform! It's the same one the janitors in Italian train stations used to wear ... 'cept they also had a little cap with some gold trim.

Bama -- is there any digital evidence of the "word on the street" that MGEN Sorensen is in full birfer mode again?

Just to be clear, they can't restrain him from flapping his gums, right? The order seems to apply just to bringing similar vexatious actions or participating with birther buddies in doing so.

But I dunno. IANAL. Obviously. It's why I asked.

I guess formally the "missing" part could be considered protected free speech.

Sorensen claims to be retired military/DoD, and titled himself "Major General."

Is there any evidence Sorensen was aMajor General in any of the U.S. armed forces? (Or is Major General his "rank" in some militia, sovcit group, "Southern Heritage" society, etc.?)

I can testify that my search of theUSMA Register of Graduates reveals that he is not our fault.

I also question whether Sorensen was a major general as well. I have looked and can find nothing conclusive. I know he was not a major general in the Air Force because I can access the biographies of AF generals past and present and Harold Sorensen's names not there. Biographies of AF General

As an outsider I just note that this "Major General" never mentioned he "Ret."ired in this function, nor mentioned which branch of the armed forces he served in. I guess this may be his rank in the J.A.I.L. organization.

Edit: just did see bob » 19.01.2012 21:31 solved the riddle.

Excuse an IANAL Scotsman who spends most of his life in the Middle East if this is a daft question about USA but Mr Ragsdale's benevolent waiving (subject to conditions) of costs etc got me thinking.

I realise Obama was not the defendant in these Alabama cases. In cases where he is, let's say Georgia for example, are all his legal costs funded by the election or is any part funded by the taxpayer?

The costs would be paid by his campaign.

Wasn't Corsi, it was that Hendershot idiot posting on Corsi's wall.

And she did not call him a confederate. She said a number of ballot challenges were being filed in the "Old Confederacy."
