My favorite part of this saga has been birthers complete lack of understanding of the politics of the legal profession. There seems to be this belief that if they just found an "honest, conservative, god-fearing" judge, they would win. And I'm sure they thought that the South would be the place to find those judges.

The thing is southern judges probably are honest, conservative, god-fearing men and there probably are, in fact, a number of them who do not care for Obama. But nearly every judge becomes a judge because they love the law and revere the traditions of the American Justice System. You just can't stand in front of one and make a damn fool of yourself and expect to be told it will be Christmas every day.

The most conservative judge in he country is not going to say "Based on your conjecture, I'm going to declare that the State of Hawaii is corrupt and have ordered the Alabama National Guard to seize control of its State Archives."

Is Orly as counsel denined, too? Or just the stay?

AFAIK, Orly has not yet filed an application to be admitted pro hac vice, so she has not been denined. Neither has she been admitted.
