I can explain the infield fly rule.I get hit by the softballs and other players.
I'm a terrible softball player too, but I run hard and swing at anything and drop the ball and have a great time doing it while the rest of the team yells at me!
I apologize, W4. I've been swamped, and I'm about to get even MORE swamped. Mother's Day is a week from tomorrow. And I have a few things on the back burner that I can't make public yet. :-# :-$ We have almost nothing on Orly's page, and nothing at all on many of the Cast & Crew pages. Those still need a lot of work.Or if you have a hankerin' for a change of pace, see what you can do with the [link]ObamaFringe wiki,http://wiki.obamafringe.com/index.php?title=Main_Page[/link].
What should we do now with this project? I'm feeling adrift.
:-bd :-bd What did they say about idle hands?? --> " title="Very Happy" /> -->
Cleaned up the Home Page a bit this afternoon. Didn't really delete anything, but moved stuff around. Example: the slideshow of the Bomford FKBC is now on the FKBCs page. I'll prob'ly find time to do some more work on the HPP ... and maybe the wiki ... while I'm recovering from this G-B crap.

In 2008, Harvard Law classmate, law review colleague remembered Obama as ‘a pretty cold fish’
more, as they say, at the linky dinky
While details from President Barack Obama’s college years are scant, with the exception of a few acquaintances’ recollections, in 2008 one of his Harvard Law classmates offered a few seldom-heard remembrances of the president’s time at Harvard.
Conservative commentator Carol Platt Liebau, author of “Prude: How the Sex-Obsessed Culture Damages Girls (and America, Too!),” guest hosted Hugh Hewitt’s February 22, 2008 radio show and described her relationship with Obama during her law school years. Despite his liberal slant, she said Obama was respectful of the conservative perspective when he was president of the Harvard Law Review.
“I knew him reasonably well — as well as most people knew him, if not better — because quite in contrast to this image that Barack tries to project, as someone who is warm and all-embracing and all that kind of stuff,” Liebau said.
“I mean, I will tell you I’ve written a piece that has praised Barack for certain things and I stand by that piece: He was color-blind in the way he chose, staffed the law review when he was president. He did give both sides a fair hearing. He always went with the far-left side, but he did give both sides a respectful hearing, which was fairly atypical at Harvard Law School at that time.”
Got this far....

Abstract:Because the presidential qualifications clause was not debated at the Constitutional Convention, scholars have despaired of knowing why the framers stipulated that the president must be a natural-born citizen who has resided in the United States for at least 14 years and reached the age of 35. A synoptic study of the Constitution-writing process, however, suggests explanations both for why the framers stated any qualifications at all for president and why they selected the qualifications they did.

Thanks! Putting them up now.

2. Fogbow rocks. Case in point:
I checked out the Home Pages, and noticed that under Birther claims debunked > Cast and crew > Military birthers > Lt. Col. Terry Lakin, the page is empty. What a shame, I thought -- the Lakin scamsters have been kind of quiet, but that one really deserves a page. So, I thought, I'll draft one up. There are only four Lakin threads (though the biggest one is 316 pages) -- it would be time-consuming but not hard to just go through it chronologically and assemble the basics, checking links as I go.
So I started -- barely. Here's my point:
On [/break1]thefogbow.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3672&p=124599]PAGE ONE of the main Lakin thread, here's what I learned:
[*:5non0ibv]Mimi discovered him (natch), via the first SafeguardOurConstitution youtube
[*:5non0ibv]There's his military bio
[*:5non0ibv]There's a link to the 'timeline of his concerns regarding CinC'
[*:5non0ibv]There are pointed questions as to who is backing him, the professionalism of the web site, the fact that it all points toward fundraising, and about its IRS status
[*:5non0ibv]There are pointed questions about the GOP involvement, involvement of WCJ, and Dogbite Jensen is mentioned
[*:5non0ibv]Lakin's own birth certificate is analyzed, and it's noted that if it were Obama's it wouldn't fly with birthers
[*:5non0ibv]Lakin's issue (obeying orders) is analyzed; PatGund among others points out that he was getting answers, he just wasn't liking the answers he was getting
No military judge nor detailed defense counsel (a JAG officer) would question the legitimacy of the convening authority or the CIC (the ultimate convening authority). Thus, the issue of President Obama's legitimacy will never come up. It's similar to "lack of standing" in the civilian courts.
What Lakin will probably do is hire private defense counel. Private defense counsel will be ruled out of order when he (or she -- Taitz?) seeks to question the legitimacy of the chain of command.
[/list]That's it. Practically no need to read the remaining 315 pages.
He created his own mess. He violated lawful orders over ridiculous claims. He is a disgrace to the uniform, he should be court-martialed, reduced in rank, sentenced to some jail time, and (if it's part of the remedies in this situation according to the UCMJ) lose his pension.
The man just tossed a career away, either way.
Did I mention Fogbow rocks?
W4, I'll still draft up a page for you [/edit]
I've actually been thinking about this recently, and wondering if we ever got the documentation involving the back-and-forth as he went up the chain of command trying to get his questions answered.

Thank you! :xo :xo Now if everybody just picked one person each and did that, it would be awesome. (I actually don't write much myself, I copy form the threads.) There's pie...[link]Here's what BadFiction has:,http://badfiction.typepad.com/badfiction/cast-of-characters.html[/link]

Did I mention PatGund is letting me steal from his Cast of Characters page? My plan is to use his witty mini-bios (where no one is born in Kenya), then link off to the major players. Also linking in blogger's takes, like Loren's excoriation of Pollarik. Army pie for Verbie! Dr. Terrance Lakin - ex-US Army Lt.Col, Military Doctor turned Ex-inmate, appeared on the scene in March of 2010 with a slick site and a claim that he plans to refuse deployment or all military orders until Obama shows him a birth certificate. Ended up missing deployment. Parents have gone on record as being Obama supporters. Former spokesperson was Margaret Hemenway, birther writer and daughter in law of birther attorney John D. Hemenway. Separated from them and got a real military law attorney in an attempt to escape court-martial charges. Didn't work, he was court-martialed in December of 2010. Six months confinement, loss of pay and pension, and dismissal from service. Released in May 2011 after serving five months of his sentence. Remained in the military under UCMJ during his appeals process, was not paid, promoted, or assigned during that period. Formally dismissed in November of 2011, has lost the right to be called by his former rank as a result.
$#$%, now i need an Africa page. :((

Nice! What's the font and size?
I've posted an [/break1]thefogbow.com/birther-claims-debunked1/birther-cast-and-crew/military-birthers/lt-col-terry-lakin/]Overview for Lakin. I'd be happy for feedback. There's a TON of material to edit down for additional sections. The planned outline is on the sidebar.
