After reading her rationale for the beatification of Loretta Young (she was an old-timey screen star who eventually also found success in television on the aptly-titled "Loretta Young Show") I decided to check up a bit on who Loretta was beyond just an old-timey screen star and what she had done that was so virtuous that she should be considered being just one step lower than a saint. I'm still trying to figure that out, as while it seems she was an active church-goer and generally a very nice person, her first marriage had to be annulled after one year (plus, she was only 17 at the time and her husband was 26,) her second marriage lasted a number of years, but ended in a very bitter divorce, and - to top it all off - she had an affair with Clark Gable which resulted in a daughter. Wikipedia describes what all she had to do to hide the fact that her daughter was born out of wedlock and had been fathered by a married man.

Apparently, Young had not told her daughter who here biological father was. She'd heard rumours that it was Clark Gable, and her future husband even told her once that "everbody" knew Gable was her father, but Young did not actually admit it to her until sometimes after the daughter became pregnant with her own child and confronted Loretta about it. Wikipedia describes it this way:

Seems to me that if Martha Trowbridge thinks someone who hid the true parentage of her child from that child is worthy of veneration, then it explains a lot on how she can come up with the whole "Malcolm X is Obama's father" malarkey.

Perhaps if Loretta Young gets beatified, that will add more credibility to a long-hidden letter by William Holden that he was a witness to the birth of a half-American child in Mombasa, Kenya? Just wait for HIm, Lucas Smith trying to sell that letter on E-bay. -xx

Trowbridge's pieces are so far over the top (a distraught Stanley Ann retrieved Malcolm X's eyeglasses from where they had fallen when he was assassinated, enabling President Obama to sleep in the comfort of his father's eyeglasses) that punking the stupid Birfers is not out of the question. Probably the best way to accomplish that would be to do one's writing on some trusted blog, such as Terrible Truth, one of the blogs of Erik Rush. Rush seems inclined to fall for anything that is derogatory to the President.

A couple of months ago another story surfaced: claiming that Obama was a child of Malcolm X and that he was born in NY. I was pretty suspicious and skeptical about this whole story from day one, as it conveniently gave Obama an American birth and an American father. A number of people bought this story:hook, line and sinker without doing any background check. The story was originally started by a woman by name Martha Towbridge (I might be mistaken in spelling of her name). This story was picked up by attorney Mario Apuzzo. I have to say, that I respect Mario, he had one eligibility case 3 years ago and I believe he is really a good man, but on this story he bought the premise without checking. A researcher ordered a SS-5 for this Bari Shabazz and we found out that he was not born in NY Jamaica hospital, but in Kingston, Jamaica, in West Indies, meaning that even if this whole hoax was a true story, it would not help Obama, as Jamaica is not part of the US and he was not born to US parents.

So, Ms. Trowbridge--who did the original Bari Shabazz research--didn't know that Bari was not the guy's birth name and didn't realize that he was born in Jamaica (the country) rather than Jamaica, Queens, NY.
