Loh - I'd drill down on Corsi's investigators, not only for "damages" (which is what this will be all about), but because Corsi, in his incompetent effort to cover his copyright infringement, has just doubled down on the fact that there were investigators. Which Loren has proved conclusively is a total fabrication.

Loren did quite a nice job of making WND eat its own words. The article should be disappeared soon. But the copyright infringement has occurred. And . . . (ahem*)

Editor's note: The following article is based on a paid, 8,000-word report by Kenyan researchers commissioned by WND. Unknown to WND, the report included unattributed references to a July 25, 2008, story by the Evening Standard of London. WND included a link to the 2008 story to back up the claims of the report, which WND believed was original. WND regrets the error.

So whaddya think?

I'm remarkably unsurprised that WND has chosen to blame unnamed (but presumably dark-skinned) Kenyan researchers for WND's wrongdoing. That's about par for them.

Corsi and WND can use the proceeds from their Esquire lawsuit to pay for their defense! They should have plenty of cash to hire the best. Gary Kreep is already on board with WND - I am sure would do as great of a job as he did in Barnett.

First, any victims, NOTE THAT STUFF IN BIG LETTERS UP THERE.

Second, as to the "investigators," there's enough showing that Corsi knew the text was from the article and so was the photograph that I think they'd be jointly and severally liable. So why bother with the shield thing? Just find them both liable for the full amount, then if WND/Corsi/et al want, they can sue their investigators for contribution. I'm sure those investigators will be able to cover their fair share.

I just thought of something...imagine if a lawsuit forced WND to open its books to the court.

I've long suspected WND of being unscrupulous in their Birther funding drives. I don't think they spent nearly as much on their Birther billboards as they took in, based on the numbers they've published.

They raised money for over a year to fund a $15,000 gift to Obama's birth hospital...and then reneged on the gift, thus keeping the money. I still wonder how that isn't outright fraud. And we don't know how much they RAISED to go towards that $15,000; they didn't exactly publish a running total.

And their general 'Eligibility Investigation' fund...is that just going to fund fake 'investigations' like this one?

Heck, they will be so flush from Esquire, they should use KKKreep and KKKlayman. Maybe Berg can pitch in as well?

(You are correct that KKKlayman is their man handling Esquire. But, Kreep was prominently featured on the Birfer Cruise, so he counts for something)

I'm in the market for a new automobile.

My preference is always to buy American, especially for big-ticket items.

One of the cars that caught my eye was the Chrysler 300. Beautiful car, as new cars go.

I hope I'm not offending anyone here, but the new Chrysler 300 is a pimp's car. It looks very flashy (if you're really drunk you might think it's a Bentley if you don't know much about cars), it can take 22 inch wheels, and costs less than a VW. So if Farah likes it -- well, it figures.

Yep $15k large ones could go a long way toward making that $40K buy. f'n grifters - most of his donors drive 2000 Dodge Neons.

I heard that Jesus H. Corsi was on his way to Texas, to confirm exactly that with his confidential informant, who goes by the code name Boxer Shorts.

Hopefully, being winter, Boxer Shorts will have the long johns on and perhaps the swamp cooler will be off.

This touches on another way that WND is digging itself into a deeper hole with its 'blame the researchers' defense.

Remember, Corsi wrote in his article: "A former Kenyan Parliament member with whom WND has worked confidentially since 2008 compiled the report."

Not just *any* anonymous person in Kenya. A former Parliament member. Who he expressly claims to have been working with since 2008.

If this person is real, and has defrauded WND by taking their money and providing a plagiarized report in return, WND has no good reason to preserve that person's anonymity anymore. If they want to preserve whatever reputation Corsi has, they should be prepared to say 'Don't blame Jerry! Here is the guy who screwed us over!'

Except this time, Corsi gave those details. If they publish a name now, it has to be the name of a former Parliament member. Someone from a relatively small group of people. Someone who other news agencies can call and ask for a response. Did you write this report? Have you been working with Corsi since 2008? What other stories did you help with? It's someone who has a reputation to protect. It's someone who, if named by WND and who *isn't* their phantom researcher, is liable to sue WND for defamation.

And conversely, if they DON'T publish a name, and DON'T allow anyone to talk to the one person who could confirm their story, then that speaks volumes.

The copyrighted photo has been removed from the article, and the subsequent photos have been renumbered accordingly.

1. Do you have a screenshot?
2. Did WND acknowledge the infringement of the photograph by blaming it on its ex Parliamentary investigator?
