I know I should get the big bucks for this, but the perfect solution is for T-Mobile to buy AT&T Mobile.

As long as nobody messes with MetroPCS. My Stupid Phone with 1.5G works almost as well as my old MotoRazr, except it's easier to text. Which I don't do. Yay!

I saw the new Droid Razr today. OMG. If only (1) it had all the apps my iPhone did, (2) worked as seamlessly and as glitchfree as my iPhone* and (3) synced to the Bluetooth in the car whose doors close themselves as well as the iPhone.

* No. 1 daughter -- who gets social security -- told me that the Droids have minor hangup problems. Hangups as in glitches not as in slamming down the phone.

I'm sorry Stern but I must interrogate now:

1. On a daily basis how many apps do you find yourself using?
2. What sorts of apps are you using.
3. What do you mean by doors closing themselves as well as the iphone?

Besides that I have an LG Thrill 4G, I should have waited for the new samsung but I got impatient. It isn't bad and it does 3d but I find i have to restart the phone if I've left it on for days as the camera lags a bit.

I like my LG no-name phone on Virgin Mobile. It makes calls, takes calls and generally acts like a phone and not a computer with a too-small screen.

US phone unlocking deadline set to expire

From Saturday, Americans will have to get permission to "unlock" their smartphone so it runs on more than one mobile network.

On that date a 90-day time limit that made it legal to unlock phones without permission is due to expire.

Many Americans unlocked their phones to avoid running up big bills when travelling outside the US.

An online petition has been started asking for unlocking without permission to be made permanently legal.

Google Calendars

MyBentleyRemote
Fogbow New Posts
TuneInRadio

IV. The car whose doors close themselves is no longer mine. My new vehicle has a Bluetooth connection to my phone. And I can also play podcasts. (I like to listen to Car Talk, Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers.)

I gots me a little Samsung phone I paid $20 new two years ago. I buy a little paper card with numbers on it. I put the numbers in and have phone time. I can call here, or the US, a twenty-minute call to me mummy in TX costs me less than a buck. It has voice mail but I am too stupid to set it up. It also has a flashlight which I use when the lights go out.

That's sorta like an anaolg version of my phone service, MetroPCS, which gives me digital technology at dial-up speeds! I have managed to set my voice mail, though. You can be my phone sistah now. \:D/

Holy shit talk about operating on a delay. I forgot I asked you these questions over a year ago. Bentleyremote? Now you're just showing off. I would have always taken you for one of those "My app is that it can call people" kind of persons. Yeah I'm a little behind on car tech. My next car should integrate with my phone through bluetooth which would be a step up from my putting my phone on speaker phone while in the car. I busted my aux jack a few years ago.

I think I paid $49 for my upgrade from analog to almost barely sorta kinda digital. One good thing about my stupid phone, though, is that I'm able to use it, easily, to coordinate several different calendars. I only need it to check when making a new appointment, but my triumph of the week was finally figuring out how to turn off the Gods-be-damned alarms! \:D/

Yay, me!

Imagine that! Free Wifi for everyone! No more contracts with providers. It would be a government service just like over the air TV and radio over government. However, the current businesses that provide these services would be put out of business or close to it and they are lobbying heavily against the legislation.

What are the chances of this coming to pass?

None. And actually, that was really bad journalism by a WaPo writer who was out of his depth, then picked up and spread by a lot of other reporters who believed the headline.

No, free Wi-Fi isn't coming to every US city - Ars Technica

I hate it when that happens.

I have a 16GB Iphone 4S that I got free at Best Buy in December. I was due for an upgrade and they treat "open box" 16GB 4S's the same way the treat 8GB 4's. It does what I want a phone to do and has lot of music on it.

The Galaxy S IV, the flagship Samsung smartphone that is expected to be unveiled next week, reportedly will have a feature that will scroll text based on a user's eye movements.

And here I was waiting for a Galaxy III. Right now I have an old HTC Incredible which I've kept because I have too many books and apps on it and it's a pain to have to set things up again.

I am considering tossing my cheapo phone off the cliff. Not because it doesn't work, but why even bother having one. We call family...children, brothers and sisters, etc. And no one answers...fu kong ever. Leave a message so a month later you can get an email saying they cannot afford to call internationally. I am almost freaking done with this bullshit. If you don't FB these days, I guess you are as good as in the grave.

Not so fast. There is a suggestion here that Face Book is losing its cool and its novelty. It's now for the older folks. The younger folks are using other newer cooler hipper social media. Face Book has become your grandfather's social media.

I was at a football game with some friends may age last year. Their teenage daugther was in the row in front of us talking to her friends. She said - and I quote -

"Remember when people used to email?"

I never felt so old in my life.

I'm on Facebook due to a bunch of book snarkers that I met on Amazon (we like to make fun of terrible books). I'm also on Twitter but I rarely tweet, maybe two or three tweets ever. And the man and I have unlimited texting which is totally wasted on us. I may have done 100 texts in the past four or five years.
