Yabbut...now the black-gray field behind the logo looks dark. :-# :-

We need a set place for Docket links. Admins could edit the Docket into the first post of threads for active cases.Am I behind in refreshing the site, or do we have a third new logo of the month?

We need a set place for Docket links.

Jack Ryan's Scribd is our repository. When I go there, I click "Shelf" and then "Collections". That's how he has everything organized by case.

Admins could edit the Docket into the first post of threads for active cases.

Yeah, but a list of links to the documents would be a list of links to Jack Ryan's Scribd. Lots of work, but a bit redundant. On the other hand, it wouldn't be too much work to keep the status of a case up to date in the first post, like: "Currently awaiting a ruling from the federal Third Circuit" or "telephonic arguments May 30" ... and a link to Jack Ryan's collection for that case. How many active cases are there right now?

Am I behind in refreshing the site, or do we have a third new logo of the month?

Second. :D --> <!-- s:D --><img src= " title="Very Happy" />:D --> And the first one isn't retired, it's just out of the rotation. I'd like to have several and keep them fresh.

The collections page at SCRIBD is sort of buried. I added a direct link at my blog to an alphabetical sort of the collections at JR's. I have never been a fan of the way SCRIBD arranges things.

How about a sticky thread that's called a Scribd Index here, linking to various collections, with the litigation documents arranged by birther, the internecine wars with their own groupings, etc., etc.?Or is that just more make work?

I thought about making an index page like that at my blog but it looked like it would take some time to build. I might dig into that when I have some spare time.

A project was begun here, and the initial effort still remains, but it did not get far, simply because of the time involved for the two of us who began the project. We both became too busy with real work to devote the time necessary. We had hoped to get back to it at some point, and may still, but neither of us has the time, nor have we for quite a while. Catching up now would require considerable effort and time, but perhaps will eventually be completed.

Interesting question. A case isn't necessarily "active" just because a lunatic is actively filing gibberish in it.

In the PM mailbox, I hate having to check Every. Single. Box. simply to delete and clean out the Inbox and Sent Messages. Is there a way to set up a "delete all" feature?

If ya weren't so popular, BB, you'd only need to clean out three or four messages a year. That's all I do. 8-)

You can delete a whole page at a time by first scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking "Mark all"; then there's a dropdown box that says "Mark/Unmark as important". Click on it and choose "Delete marked".Sometimes I spend 10 or 15 minutes trying to clear them out, but it's boring. I have 120 pages in my Inbox right now. #-o ?(

There's a setting that can control that. And also, too, you can create additional mailboxes and move the important PMs into them, and they won't be deleted. Here's a sneaky peek at the Admin Control Panel on PMs:http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee232/foghorn_leghorn_photos/fogbow/pms.pngI could set it to, oh, say 200 PMs, and then set it to "delete oldest". That would cut down on your PMs, but if there were any you wanted to save you need to stay on top of it before another 200 come in."New messages held back" is dumb. That means if you have 200 PMs, you don't get any new ones until you delete some of them yourself. Check it out and gimme some feedback.

That's why I made everything unlimited, but 5,000 plus PMs? I made a box for Saved Messages and only have 23 in there ... by 2020 I might get up to 200.

Do you have any idea how long I searched for the 'post reply' button the other night? I freshed and refreshed and thought the page was caught at the not-quite bottom. I was feeling a little foggy that night, we had just gotten back from NOLA, but really...What the heck is that thang, anyway?

We need a “Blue Light Special Isle 5” thread that only Greenies can post on. I have so much shit going on right now, as most of us do from time to time that when I get a minute to check for breaking stuff, you have to go through 50 threads to find it if anything has broken. I know usually the thread at the top, but not always. If Greenies could post under “Action Breaking on….” and then in the post just put what thread the action is on along with page number so those in the herd a on a mad real life rush go straight to it. Posting the page number of the breaking event would be helpful since the herd can post 50 pages of posts in 5 minutes when something good breaks and it takes almost as long to go back and find where the news broke it as it does to read forward and catch up. Restricting it to Greenies would prohibit thread clogging and the thread would only surface if an alert to action were posted. Waddayathink?

While I do appreciate what you are saying regarding something breaking and it taking a while to catch up with whatever it is, contrary to what must be popular belief, greenies too have lives and also sometimes "mad real lives". Once I sign on in the morning, I rarely sign off. And while it may appear I'm actually on the board participating 24/7 that's rarely if ever the case. I do put several hours a day in, generally, and sometimes way too much, and I just can't see adding to that. In fact, I'm needing to cut back, but I do try to fulfill my greenie responsibilities as best I can.

Having to post something essentially twice is, at least IMO, a little much. Other greenies may disagree, of course.
