Thank you for visiting our campaign website. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dirk Allen Konopik and I am excited about the possibility of serving as your next U.S. Senator from California. A bit about me, I am currently 29 years old and newly wed to the amazing Amy Jo Konopik (who is braving her first year of Law School while simultaneously expecting our first child in June of 2012). I am also an Evangelical Christian, a fast, attack nuclear submarine veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, and a loyal, patriotic American.
I have decided to run for the office of United States Senator, after much prayer and deliberation, for a variety of reasons. The most pressing reason being the continual and increasing moral, ethical, and spiritual degradation of our state and nation that the current U.S. Senatorial leadership of California has failed to address. The distorted worldview of these leaders has steered California and America down the path of ruin.
Current incumbent Senator Dianne Feinstein, though publicly claiming to be a follower of Judaism, has spent her years in office living in rebellion to the commands of the Lord as written in the Bible, and we all have suffered the consequences. This rebellion to God's Word has afforded her the opportunity to negatively influence many integral aspects of society, some of which are listed below. Her misguided and ungodly decisions have caused much pain and hardship to our fellow Californians and Americans to the point that I can no longer sit idly by and allow it to continue. God will not be mocked: especially by a hypocritical and rebellious descendent of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

In addition, though direct, it would be safe to say that those who support Senator Feinstein in the upcoming 2012 election stand with her, arm in arm, against God and His Commandments. Please take this statement very seriously, as the line in the sand has been drawn. Seeing how we will all eventually stand before God and give an account of our deeds done here on Earth (Revelation 20:11-15), I ask you to wisely and prayerfully choose the candidate that is the most qualified, most faithful to the Lord, and most able to correct California's drastic departure from its former success.
This is a contest for second place. And he'll get more votes than Taitz.
