Say, does that mean we will soon hear her long-ago-announced radio show?

Where's Pambly? She did a bang-up job heading up Orly's last campaign.

So does this mean she, Yosi, VISA, or someone coughed up the remaining $2,595?

Don't her idiot minions ever notice that when she's raising large sums for sanctions or cert apps or what have you, she whines and wheedles for weeks, thanking them for pennies here and pennies there, and then magically pays 80% of the thing out of her own pocket?

She's not in Palin's league, but she's a grifter.

Nope, verbie. That simply means the FEC received her Statement of Candidacy (FEC Form 2) to register as a 2012 candidate for federal office, and the FEC set up an account for Orly to file her quarterly campaign finance disclosures.

The $3,420 fee is for getting herself on the California ballot. Yosi is prolly going to have to cough up a good bit of the dough Orly will probably have to lend her campaign a couple thousand.

Didn't she blow over $40,000 on her stoopid vanity SoS campaign? I would hope she'd do the same here -- call it a loan again so that she can try to recoup it from her nutty followers. But I doubt a fan base of less than 20-30 is going to raise her very much. Maybe $5,000 at the end of the day.

It's going to cost a credible candidate at least $5 million to challenge DiFi. And even then Feinstein probably ha a lock.

I wonder what Orly thinks she'll be doing as California's junior senator, in between sweeping the Usuperator out of office and rounding up all the complicit criminals? What committees will she join? Please, doG, not Intelligence. How about Appropriations? She could hound her minions for money for special projects, like keeping Palestinians out of Israel.

Rules and Administration? Yeah, forget that one, she's never met a rule that wasn't meant to be broken or specifically aimed at keeping her down. And asking Orly, the queen of short attention spans, to administer anything would just be cruel.

She could start a national reading comprehension program. Lord knows, there are plenty of people who could use it. She could start with all the eligibility cases the courts have decided over the years.

Forget the FEC and the CA SoS, I think, actually, she should apply here first.

Dirk Konopik
Quote:
Thank you for visiting our campaign website. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dirk Allen Konopik and I am excited about the possibility of serving as your next U.S. Senator from California. A bit about me, I am currently 29 years old and newly wed to the amazing Amy Jo Konopik (who is braving her first year of Law School while simultaneously expecting our first child in June of 2012). I am also an Evangelical Christian, a fast, attack nuclear submarine veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, and a loyal, patriotic American.

I have decided to run for the office of United States Senator, after much prayer and deliberation, for a variety of reasons. The most pressing reason being the continual and increasing moral, ethical, and spiritual degradation of our state and nation that the current U.S. Senatorial leadership of California has failed to address. The distorted worldview of these leaders has steered California and America down the path of ruin.

Current incumbent Senator Dianne Feinstein, though publicly claiming to be a follower of Judaism, has spent her years in office living in rebellion to the commands of the Lord as written in the Bible, and we all have suffered the consequences. This rebellion to God's Word has afforded her the opportunity to negatively influence many integral aspects of society, some of which are listed below. Her misguided and ungodly decisions have caused much pain and hardship to our fellow Californians and Americans to the point that I can no longer sit idly by and allow it to continue. God will not be mocked: especially by a hypocritical and rebellious descendent of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

[...]

In addition, though direct, it would be safe to say that those who support Senator Feinstein in the upcoming 2012 election stand with her, arm in arm, against God and His Commandments. Please take this statement very seriously, as the line in the sand has been drawn. Seeing how we will all eventually stand before God and give an account of our deeds done here on Earth (Revelation 20:11-15), I ask you to wisely and prayerfully choose the candidate that is the most qualified, most faithful to the Lord, and most able to correct California's drastic departure from its former success.

This is a contest for second place. And he'll get more votes than Taitz.

WTF, can he do this?

On Konopick's "Contribution" page, item 5
http://www.konopikforca2012.com/#!contribute

Quote:
5. I understand that 10% of all contributions received will be donated to nonprofit organizations that positively contribute to California per the discretion of Konopik for CA 2012.

He's gonna funnel 10% of his campaign contributions to Jeebuz.

Somehow, I think Taitz would be less harmful than Konopik. This is the kind of feller that makes many of us angry at religionists...fundamentalists or otherwise.

Yes, and I hope he worked in the kitchen and not at the buttons on his fast attack nuclear submarine...

I thought we had a psych portion (Nuclear Reliability Program) to the exam for folks who have access to nukes.

I'm sure the Taliban were terrified at him stalking their fleet of Ballistic submarines and massive navy in the heart of Afghanistan. I mean, what the hell? The most he's done in the Afghanistan campaign was sit next to an aircraft carrier somewhere twiddling his thumbs. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill.

You know, when watching Dr. Strangelove, one used to think "but don't worry, surely they wouldn't let a lunatic like this anywhere near a nuclear weapon." Then you see someone like this. I just hope he's lying or that his duty consisted of scrubbing the bulkheads with a toothbrush, a duty assigned to keep him out of trouble before his inevitable mental discharge.

March 9, 2012 is the last day for U.S. Senate candidates to declare.

Republicans are not going to concede Feinstein's seat. They may offer only token resistance, but they won't let Taitz be the standard bearer.

Who will the republican party offer up in the battle for second place?

What is more important is how much money is the GOP going to waste on this? 8-)

There are bound to be termed-out assemblymembers challenging Feinstein. I know of two local dem pols who are challenging Dreier. Neither has announced yet.

The PRP (Personnel Reliability Program) it's lots of good fun. It's easier to get knocked out of PRP than to get Orly to win a case.

Ya know, thanks to California's new-fangled "jungle" primaries, any enterprising California voter with a few thousand dollars lying around* could throw his or her hat into the ring for the express purpose of gaining standing to sue Taitz to see if she's an eligible candidate.

Just sayin'.... :-
