Would you prefer one vote per household unit like HOA"S?

In true birther fashion, it would be one vote per Trailer

In birfer math, five equals We, the People.

In Purpura v. Sebelius it was 2.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio Praises Obama On Immigration To A Perplexed Eric Bolling
by Frances Martel | 4:31 pm, September 10th, 2011

Quote:
President Barack Obama‘s new floated proposal to consider giving some path to citizenship to illegal aliens without criminal records has incensed Eric Bolling, who on last night’s program brought in the toughest public figure on immigration law, Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Except Arpaio only went so far in denouncing the idea, instead thanking the President for putting the issue on the table.

“I think it’s all politics,” Arpaio said of Gov. Rick Perry‘s tough stance on immigration at last week’s debate, “but I want to thank the President. I don’t agree with his police, but he brought the issue back on the table. Now maybe some politicians will start talking about it and not hide the fact that we have a big problem.” Bolling, having begun the interview with Perry’s stance, then turned to President Obama, and asked Arpaio’s opinion on his amnesty proposal. “He can do what he wants,” he quipped, “we have state laws here.” And, once again, he extended a thank you.

“Sheriff Joe… my jaw is dropping right now. You want to thank Mr. Obama for floating the idea of forgiving [illegal immigrants]?” Bolling asked. Arpaio responded by clarifying that he didn’t agree with the President, but “at least he brought the issue back up.” Bolling protested that it was only brought back in the context of allowed illegal immigrants to stay in the country– “I don’t like that!” “I don’t like that, either!” Arpaio responded, “but let’s talk about it!”

There is a video at the link but I'm having problems embedding it.

The Bolling interview is priceless. =))

Sheriff Arpaio's posse to review Obama BC
Famous Arizona lawman responds to citizen request to probe president
Jerome Corsi

Quote:
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Arizona has constituted a special law enforcement posse to investigate allegations brought by members of the Surprise, Ariz., Tea Party that the birth certificate Barack Obama released to the public April 27 might be a forgery, WND has learned.

The posse, under the authority of Arpaio's office, will consist of two former law enforcement officers and two retired attorneys, headed by Michael Zullo, a retired police detective originally from Bergen County, N.J.

[snip]

WND confirmed with Zullo and with Arpaio's office that the investigation into the Obama birth certificate has been sanctioned fully by Arpaio's office. The investigation, they said, will be conducted with "utmost diligence," and the investigators will be authorized to utilize subpoena power. [-(

[snip]

Arpaio's move is unprecedented in that WND research can find no other instance in United States history in which a county sheriff's office has undertaken an investigation of a document pertaining to a sitting United States president.

As usual the comments are gold... and they've just begun.

I wonder exactly what crime President Obama has committed in Maricopa County, AZ that Joe has the authority to investigate. :-k

What a moron Arpaio is to even think about this nonsense.

more at the linky dinky

Don't forget, Arpaio's got millions of tea party dollars he's been tucking away in his campaign war chest, that he hasn't needed to use for continual reelection by the huge local contingent of wingnuts. (Though he keeps fundraising). When he declined to run for Congress, speculation in Maricopa County was rampant that he'd make a run for president. Maybe he figures he can get there in a different way....

His delusions of grandeur and his willingness to break laws to hold on to power are truly unprecedented. And no one in Arizona will challenge him - even when he does things like, well, misappropriate $100 million of protected taxpayer funds for his pet projects.

What if he sees himself as the golden child [grandfather?] of the sovereign:citizen movement? But he is in his late '70's, so it may be now or never for the old racist coot.

I'm just sayin'....

It would appear Arpaio likes to create "posses" as PR stunts: Hollywood actors join Arpaio's immigration posse
Quote:
In July, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio promised the creation of a new illegal immigration operations posse. He said a volunteer armed posse could help his deputies enforce immigration laws. It also would provide a means by which citizens could feel they are helping in the fight against illegal immigration.

[...]

Hollywood actors and real-life law enforcement professionals Steven Seagal, Lou Ferrigno (The Hulk) and Peter Lupus ("Mission Impossible") all signed on to work this detail. Ferrigno was on hand for the swearing-in ceremony.

Seagal and Ferrigno are real-life deputies. Seagal, who now lives in the Valley, is a sworn deputy in New Orleans. Ferrigno works as a deputy with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Office.

This sounds like the kind of thing that could have set Orly off this week, if she tried to get into this and was told "no thanks, we have real attorneys."

I'm sure that, if she doesn't already know about it, she will try to worm her way into it when she learns of it, and most likely will get, at best, a "don't call us, we'll call you if we need you."

The queen of the birthers sees her dreams of investigation coming true (in her mind at least), but she doesn't get to play. Yeah, that would certainly set her off.

I call bullshit. The World's Most Important Law Enforcer is way too media savvy to let WND break this before his press machine does. If this was happening, Joe absolutely would be the first to publish it.

Remember last time when Jesus H. Corsi wrote a story about Joe Arpaio?

The evidence against Obama says Yes.

OBot, any honest look at the evidence against Obama that he is lying is more than enough, and is "reasonable certainty" [probable cause] or "rational grounds of suspicion" for a magistrate to issue a criminal investigative subpoena to look at Obama's hidden records in any official police investigation. No doubt that Hawaii would shuck and jive some more to not comply like the their lying OBots who support them.

Sooooooooo cute when they play lawyer! Especially RS, who said Taitz would prevail in her FOIA suit.

Not a peep in AZ about the purported birth certificate 'posse'.

You think Arpaio is going to make a blatant move like this, and not tell anyone about it? That would be a total reversal for the soon-to-be octogenarian.

Heck, he even puts out a press release when he goes after a handful of Mexicans who look illegal. Why no press release when he goes after the president? WND states that they confirmed with Arpaio's office, but there seems to have been no attempt to contact the sheriff himself for comment (which has always been his weakness - and which has catapulted him to national celebrity)..

To the lying, blackmailing SOB named Jerome Corsi: you're a lying, blackmailing SOB.

It would be great for the "posse" to venture out of Sheriff Joe's protection and try to exert its lawful  powers in, say, Washington, D.C.

I wonder if Joe's Birthism will affect the GOP Candidates wooing him?

Quote:
Republican Hopefuls Court Sheriff Joe
By MARC LACEY and SALVADOR RODRIGUEZ

It is presidential campaign season in Arizona, and that means the phone of Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been ringing a lot lately.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, right, says he has not decided whether to endorse Republican presidential candidate Representative. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota.Paul Connors/Associated PressSheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County says he has not decided whom to endorse in the Republican presidential contest.

Mr. Arpaio, who conducts raids of immigrant neighborhoods and keeps his suspects in open-air tents, may be a symbol of intolerance to his critics, but he remains so influential in conservative circles that his endorsement is considered a prize.

That is why Gov. Rick Perry of Texas called him up last week to chit chat. And why former Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts did the same before an Arizona trip this week. Then there was Representative Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, who stopped by Mr. Arpaio’s office in downtown Phoenix on Wednesday afternoon to heap praise on the man.

nah.

Still no reliable source mentions Corsi's story.

Yup, it's a secret that only Corsi is privy to; Arpaio has paid lawyers in AZ but he's going to use some bozo from out of state (buddy of Corsi's?) as legal counsel. This is too stupid even for WND knuckle draggers to believe.
