Thanks for thinking of me, Tollie.

Well, I could not bring back a boater from Magdalen College. I was less picky about the specific College and thus found a nice boater to bring back with me. I think she will go to Harvard and try out for crew.

The bowlers were all huge and did not seem susceptible to persuasion.

I was able to get the job accomplished in the City of London that I was assigned to do. We should see results in about ten days.

Back from Happy Town. It's truly an amazing place off-season. Provincetown is a GLBT/pet-friendly/artistic vacation spot. During the season, it can get crowded and boisterous. Off season it's not as packed, but the streets are filled with middle-aged couples who have been together for many years -- some mixed gender, most same gender, mostly everyone with a dog or two. A few families with small kids. Everyone strolls the main street from around 4:00 to as late as midnight. Such a beautiful, happy atmosphere. Love manifest in its many forms.

Well, except there were no blacks, Asians, or Latinos. Adjusting for the many levels of tans, a pretty white place.

Pappy - Watch out for banjo-playing kids with no front teeth and a family tree that's as flat as the horizon.

My Mum arrives tomorrow afternoon so the next six weeks is pretty much going to be dedicated to spending time with her. However today I picked up a shiny new toy, an android phone, so no matter where I go I should be able to keep in touch, albeit using fat finger typing :)

Seems to be time for me to say good bye, at least temporarily too. Also. So no further stupid comments from me until end of October, starting as of next Wednesday. As I will be relying on internet cafes I will only take a peek once in a while, just to check if our best fun, one Orly Taitz, has already been disbarred.

PS. This gives me a chance to reveal one of the great mysteries of my internet moniker RTH10260:
R stands for my first name Richard, TH as country code for Thailand, and 10260 for a postal code within Bangkok. The name was originally derived while I had a special affinity to said area code (aka a dark haired maiden) some many years ago. We will be seeing us again after I hadn't the chance to visit for several years, and we are planning some travelling around the country (trying to evade the rainy season and the elements).

Regards - Richard

Have fun, Richard.

And, for the record, Orly Taitz will never be disbarred.

We used to go to P-town every summer. We stayed in a place called the Hargood House, I have no idea if it's still there. Loved it. And the Portuguese bakery.

Yeah, they started buzzing the city this afternoon and I hear they'll be keeping it up through Sunday. Needless to say, the kitteh is decidedly Not Happy.

Neither was my little rat terrier. He trembled and shook the whole time and for some time afterward. Fleet Week is really hard on the nerves.

I know what you mean about authentic Thai food. There a just a couple of places to to get it here, and there are times when I practically live in Golden Mile Complex. สนุกกับ!

The giant four-prop-jet Navy plane - C130? - flying low back and forth over the city this afternoon wasn't all that great on my nerves, either. But it was cool to see...

arrived on Kho Chang, an island off the eastern coastline of the Gulf of Thailand, near the most south tip of Thailand and near the Cambodian border. Til end of next week I will be enjoying the whitest of sands to be found on all beaches.

I'm back from my Mexican holiday. So relaxing to visit a city where the army is patrolling in jeeps with rifles at the ready.
