Seems like he's giving them the polite brush off.

So I guess this means that Obama got scared and is pressuring Arpaio to back off his investigation.

Yeh. That must be it.

I bet Obama's Obots got to him! Next time Birfers, DON'T publicize this until the investigation is DONE.

So many of us saw this coming. I saw it as soon as I saw the WND article - and did my normal comments. But if you read the full statement, it is clear he told WND that he wasn't sure if he could do anything and he would look into who has the authority and responsibility to look into it. Of course WND didn't mention that.

It's a pandering brush off.

Arpaio knows he has no jurisdiction. And he knows they're full of crap. But as a politician he's not going to say it to their faces because HE IS A COWARD.

That question of jurisdiction keeps coming to mind concerning a Federal Elective Office. Hhhhmmmm. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.... :-({|= :-({|=

The only public records of Obama's actually in Arpaio's "jurisdiction" are those related to the 2008 election. (And do not contain Obama's COLB.)

How long to investigate their authenticity? Five seconds?

From the KTAR link above:

Quote:
Arpaio said, while he will look at the evidence, "I indicated in this meeting that I will also consider whether there is a more appropriate Arzona agency to determine the document's veracity and ultimately whether the President's name can lawfully be entered onto the 2012 election ballot."

Of course there is a more appropriate agency. The AZ Sec of State would be the starting point. Not a Sheriff. Ultimately he'll toss the pile into an envelope and mail it off......

Perhaps the subject for the thread could be updated to reflect Sheriff Joe's Official Press Release.

He's a coward all right, but he's also a publicity whore so he'll milk it a little bit to get his name in the public eye once more. We even had a reality show about Sheriff Joe in the UK not long ago. He loves being the center of attention.

If the TPers manage to get a lawsuit into a state court about the President being on the ballot, AZ will be that state, I have no doubt about it. Somethings in the water and air out there.

Luckily, Arizona has good judges both at the state level and in the federal district court. The TPers won't get anywhere. But it will be fun to watch the birthers get all tingly.

I miss Poutine's color commentary on these local events. He's got Corsi right there fouling the air in his neck of the woods and not peep.

Hopefully it is just a vacay...somewhere nice.
