Tesla is totally not a cult. Proud Incel Camino owner shows the "frunk" door is safe by slamming his finger in it, with predictable results. Gotta show loyalty to the Smartest. Man. Ever.

However, like all cult leaders, Musk has nothing but contempt for the marks that buy his crappy second-rate products, given the design flaws and quality problems let alone the design of the Wankpanzer, which looks like it was designed by a couple of 8th graders in shop class.

Cybertruck Owner Breaks His Finger Trying to Show Vehicle Is Safe

The YouTuber even tried it with a stick first, which broke in half.

What happens when you stick your finger in the closing trunk—or, in this case, the “frunk”—of a Tesla Cybertruck? It’s a question that way too many Cybertruck owners are asking themselves these days. And a new video posted to YouTube appears to show the most grotesque answer to date.

The video, uploaded on Sunday by YouTube user Joe Fay, starts by explaining that viewers thought he was cheating in a previous video by not just letting the frunk close properly.

“In my last video everybody kept saying that when the Tesla Cybertruck was coming down on my finger that I pushed up to make it open up and sense my finger but that’s just not true,” Fay explains.

“And to prove that wrong I’m going to put my finger completely flat against the Cybertruck this time. I’m not going to hover it. I’ll put it completely flat and see if it crushes my finger because everybody is asking,” Fay continues.

Incredibly, the content creator even tries it out with a stick first, which promptly breaks in half.
These videos may have been funny at first, but watching someone literally break their finger in this perverse display of faith in Tesla or Cybertrucks or Elon Musk more broadly is getting pretty disturbing.

Amazingly, YouTuber Jeremy Judkins, one of the people who tried this in a viral video earlier and had the frunk close hard on his finger, told Business Insider that an engineer at Tesla told him he was doing it wrong. How? Apparently rather than interpreting your tapping on the car as a plea for help as it crushes your bones, the Cybertruck thinks you want the door to close harder. Seriously.

The engineer told him the frunk increases in pressure every single time it closes and detects resistance, Judkins said. It’s going to assume you want to close the frunk and maybe something like a bag is getting in the way, which would make it close harder.

Elon Musk's Neuralink implants brain chip in first human

Neuralink’s first implant partly detached from patient’s brain
Some of the threads connecting the chip to the brain began to retract. The Elon Musk-owned company did not explain why

Neuralink’s first attempt at implanting its chip in a human being’s skull hit an unexpected setback after the device began to detach from the patient’s brain, the company revealed on Wednesday.

The patient, Noland Arbaugh, underwent surgery in February to attach a Neuralink chip to his brain, but the device’s functionality began to decrease within the month after his implant. Some of the device’s threads, which connect the miniature computer to the brain, had begun to retract. Neuralink did not disclose why the device partly retracted from Arbaugh’s brain, but stated in a blogpost that its engineers had refined the implant and restored functionality.

The decreased capabilities did not appear to endanger Arbaugh, and he could still use the implant to play a game of chess on a computer using his thoughts, according to the Wall Street Journal, which first broke the news of the issue with the chip. The possibility of removing the implant was considered after the detachment came to light, the Journal reported.

Arbaugh’s implant began running into problems in late February, according to Neuralink’s blogpost, when an undisclosed number of the chip’s threads “retracted from the brain, resulting in a net decrease in the number of effective electrodes”. This decreased the device’s bits per second, which is essentially a gauge of how well the implant could perform its tasks.

I just saw my first cyber truck in the wild. Photos do not do it justice. It's even uglier in person.

It looks like a cheap prop on a low rent sci-fi movie set.

A relative saw her third while driving. LA Cali. She said its cool. Yeah me: in an 80s scifi movie prop. She agreed.

Officially, it has a max payload of 2,500 pounds and 11,000 pounds of "towing power." Unofficially, your guess is as good as mine. Probably better.

The thing is so goddam heavy that it has to take a load of grunt to move itself, let alone anything else.

From the manufacturers plate & the hills in the background, this is a Tesla employee from one of the Fremont Tesla facilities getting on the Nimitz southbound, late afternoon from the sun, and on a weekend 'cuz traffic's light & the toll lanes are free.
