Just a quick stocktake.

With the demise of the LA bill there is now only one birther bill standing - PA HB1350.

Including ME but excluding HI, 32 bills were introduced this year in 17 states.

I don't expect any more activity (if any) for a while although PA might surprise me.

So the LA bill is definitely dead? Did not end up on the agenda for today, I assume, and the legislature is recessing soon as I recall.

Yes it's dead - I watched the committee just in case but it would have needed 2/3 of the committee to vote to add it and now it would need 2/3 of the house to suspend the rules to ressurrect it.

My overall impression is that the "right wing but not quite nutjob" legislators have lost interest in the whole issue.

So what's the scorecard as of today on these birfer bills?

31 dead - 1 still alive.

Can we hope that Orly Taitz will try to rouse her follower to put pressure on the Pennsylvania legislature, ensuring the death of the last birfer bill?
