Just saw Jindal on the tv. He said he is "absolutely" certain that Obama was born in the United States.

(Honestly, poutine, I'm not attacking the messenger.)

Then why does his spokesman appear to signal his readiness to sign a birther bill that, beyond every other idiocy, asks for proof of residence for the "preceding" 14 years?

Birther or sane person? Make up your mind, jerkface Jindal.

Three stupid reasons why Pyush cannot be President (funny how none were ever mentioned when McCain was supposed to be considering him as a running mate):

1) Vatel. remember what Vatel really said. "The naturals, or indigenes are those born in the country and related by blood to a citizen." Obama qualifies, Jindal does not.

2) Originalist interpretation. Pyush was born into a family of "Indians not taxed".

3) His own political dada theme. "Life starts at conception." Pyush was obviously not conceived in the United States.

2) looks like a joke, but I would use it against birfers. And if they come back and say "it werent that kind of Injun" point out that the Constitution does not know Red Injuns, Brown Injuns, Hindu Injuns or Roman Catholic Injuns - it only knows "Indians taxed" and "Indians not taxed". Go on to point out that when saying only "a natural born citizen" can be President, it does not say "a natural born citizen of the United States". That does not help Pyush, since he is not a natural born citizen of India either, AND he was delivered by Cesarian.

If Bobby Jindal does sign a birfer bill, the combination of that and his anti abortion stance is going to make it impossible to run for the presidency. I am sure people will point out the inconsistency there. "Mr Jindal, on what grounds do you actually consider yourself a citizen of the United States?"

The bill already seems in a sorry state - it's not on the committee agenda for next week so the earliest the committee will get round to it (and I doubt they'll even bother) is June 8th and the legislative session ends on June 23rd at the latest. Of course even if it got through the House it would still get through the Senate - tick tock tick tock!

Still I welcome Orly's efforts to make sure it fails !

The deadline for third reading/final passage is June 20, so the bill has to get through committee and both houses within a 12-day period (June 8 - 20).

Tick tock tick tock.

Orly's flying monkeys (Louisiana Chapter) are emailing their support for HB561

xxhttp://www.orlytaitzesq.com/?p=22328

That should be the kiss of death for it!

In fact it's pretty dead as it is - it's not on the house committee agenda for 8th June which I suspect will be the last meeting . Even if they they added to the agenda it would only have 7 legislative days to get through both houses. Saying it's got a snowball's chance would be overstating it - maybe a snowflake's chance

I fully and wholeheartedly support the bill. A similar bill should be in place for every ballot in LA where it is also an issue. That way no one can say it is targeting President Obama.
As far as the Administrative Executive order, it can be used as an immediate fix in case HB561 is challenged and not in effect before the 2012 elections. Every willing state could implement a similar order to address the issue at hand with very little time and effort.

Let me know what I can do to support the bill. Orly Taitz is eager to hear the status of your bill and is more eager to see it implemented as quickly as possible. =))

Thanks,

Two more days until the last committee meeting. Almost time to call the doctor to pronounce this one.

HB 561 just took another step towards oblivion - it's not on the agenda for the last committee meeting of the session on June 14th.

I think I'm going to call it DEAD! - the votes simply aren't there to get it through a rules suspension on it.

As an aside - the Louisiana is awaiting DOJ's approval of its redistricting plans and seems to be anticipating problems. DOJ is going to report "late on 20th" and there are a number of amending bills lined up to be pushed through both houses under rules suspensions so they could be a bit busy!

NOLA.com: Author of presidential birth-certificate bill gives up without a hearing
Quote:
A Shreveport lawmaker said Tuesday that he has given up on his effort to require presidential candidates to present an "original or certified copy" of their birth certificate as a requirement to appear on the Louisiana ballot.

Rep. Alan Seabaugh, R-Shreveport, said he decided to pull the plug on his House Bill 561 after it became clear that there wasn't enough support to get it out of committee.

"There were a lot of logistical problems" with the bill, Seabaugh said, adding that several members of the House & Governmental Affairs Committee asked him not to bring it up for a hearing. He said he might try to bring back the bill next year in a different form.

Seabaugh said his bill was motivated partly by the controversy surrounding President Barack Obama's citizenship, which was challenged by conservative groups despite extensive documentation that the president was born in Hawaii.

Dr. Taitz, I rarely have a politician answer a phone call but it happened today. I called Rep Seabaugh and spoke with him about dropping his Eligibility Bill for now. In a nutshell, even though the Senate in La is a majority Republican, he said most of them are in fact Liberals!! He said if he got it passed in the House it wouldn’t have made it thru the Senate. He told me that he knows the Obama BC is a complete fraud. Every expert he has talked to about it has told him its a Fake. I asked him where the FBI was with it and he said, “look who their Boss is!! I was thinking well wasn’t the FBI in on the Watergate Scandal??? This whole thing roils me. You nailed it though when you said “if the online image the WH put out to the public is in fact a copy of the original, then what is the problem allowing you and your experts to analyze that original piece?” ANSWER: The online image is a complete bogus Fraud. Seabaugh said they all know its a fake but nobody will do anything about it. That is cowardly. You have more guts than all the politicians put together. The True Patriots Love you Orly!
