F.(1) The chairman and the secretary of the state central committee or the

17 a certificate of nomination filed pursuant to this Section, an affidavit of the
18 presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate in which each candidate states
19 his citizenship, age, and residence. Each affidavit shall include references to and
20 attachment of documents that prove that the candidate meets the requirements for

That should be the kiss of death for it!

In fact it's pretty dead as it is - it's not on the house committee agenda for 8th June which I suspect will be the last meeting . Even if they they added to the agenda it would only have 7 legislative days to get through both houses. Saying it's got a snowball's chance would be overstating it - maybe a snowflake's chance

Please, contact every state senator and representative in La and urge them to pass Crowe/Seabow eligibility bill ASAP. Governor Jindel already stated, that he will sign it. He needs it on his desk asap

I fully and wholeheartedly support the bill. A similar bill should be in place for every ballot in LA where it is also an issue. [highlight]That way no one can say it is targeting President Obama.[/highlight]
[highlight]As far as the Administrative Executive order, it can be used as an immediate fix in case HB561 is challenged and not in effect before the 2012 elections[/highlight]. Every willing state could implement a similar order to address the issue at hand with very little time and effort.

Let me know what I can do to support the bill. [highlight]Orly Taitz is eager to hear the status of your bill and is more eager to see it implemented as quickly as possible.[/highlight]

A Shreveport lawmaker said Tuesday that he has given up on his effort to require presidential candidates to present an "original or certified copy" of their birth certificate as a requirement to appear on the Louisiana ballot.

Rep. Alan Seabaugh, R-Shreveport, said he decided to pull the plug on his House Bill 561 after it became clear that there wasn't enough support to get it out of committee.

"There were a lot of logistical problems" with the bill, Seabaugh said, adding that several members of the House & Governmental Affairs Committee asked him not to bring it up for a hearing. He said he might try to bring back the bill next year in a different form.

Seabaugh said his bill was motivated partly by the controversy surrounding President Barack Obama's citizenship, which was challenged by conservative groups despite extensive documentation that the president was born in Hawaii.

Dr. Taitz, I rarely have a politician answer a phone call but it happened today. I called Rep Seabaugh and spoke with him about dropping his Eligibility Bill for now. In a nutshell, even though the Senate in La is a majority Republican, he said most of them are in fact Liberals!! He said if he got it passed in the House it wouldn’t have made it thru the Senate. He told me that he knows the Obama BC is a complete fraud. Every expert he has talked to about it has told him its a Fake. I asked him where the FBI was with it and he said, “look who their Boss is!! I was thinking well wasn’t the FBI in on the Watergate Scandal??? This whole thing roils me. You nailed it though when you said “if the online image the WH put out to the public is in fact a copy of the original, then what is the problem allowing you and your experts to analyze that original piece?” ANSWER: The online image is a complete bogus Fraud. Seabaugh said they all know its a fake but nobody will do anything about it. That is cowardly. You have more guts than all the politicians put together. The True Patriots Love you Orly!

Alan Seabaugh is a Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives. He has represented the 5th District since winning a special election in October 2010. [1]

Seabaugh was elected to represent the 5th district via special election on October 2nd, 2010. He is also a member of the Louisiana Republican State Central Committee, and was a delegate and Vice Chairman of the Louisiana delegation to the 2008 Republican National Convention. At the convention, Seabaugh was selected as a member of the 2008 Presedential Electoral College.

Seabaugh is the managing partner of Seabaugh & Joffrion law firm in Shreveport. Alan is also an Allied Attorney with the Alliance Defense Fund.

Seabaugh graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1990. He then earned his Law Degree from the Paul. M. Herbert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 1993.
