Just put me down for a 10-7.On the UCLA bRuin front, I hear that a very successful, experienced coach on the eastern seaboard may soon be available. And that he won't cost too much, either.

You might talk Randy Edsal out of Maryland for a plane ticket and a "pretty please".He thought that the job was his "dream job". It was, if the dream was written by Stephen King.

Don't talk to me about Maryland. They fired my cousin, [/break1]go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7039655/maryland-terrapins-former-coach-ralph-friedgen-says-burned-diploma]Ralph Friedgen after yet another successful season to hire somebody else. They deserve whatever they get. Me? I get 10-7.

One more thought: if Georgia beats Auburn, and Auburn beats Alabama at a later point, does this make Boise St the #! team? Boise beat Georgia. The computer rankings are based on strength of schedule, so,,,,,, If !)Ok State loses to Oklahoma, 2)Stanford loses to Oregon - hear me out- and 3)Georgia beats LSU in the SEC title gameIf that happens, shouldn't Boise be in the BCS title game? In this scenario, I can't imagine a TWO loss Alabama team jumping ahead of Boise. Ok State losing to #7 (for now) Oklahoma puts them ahead of Boise? Unless the BCS title game is two one-loss teams (in theory), then the highest ranking undefeated should be in. A one loss LSU playing a one loss Ok St, or a one loss Stranford? (or even Oregon?) I don't want to see that.

I keep reading that if LSU/Bama win out, there should be a rematch in the BCS title game.As much as I detest the BCS, if you can't win your own division in your conference you've no business in that game. And I guess no matter if Houston wins out (13-0) there's no consideration for them in the title game. I can't find any anywhere.Editorkorir, your pick list is missing the last game, please.

JT, your last "named" game is "Miami-FL (ACC, 5-4) @ Florida State (ACC, 6-3)" . I don't read the shorthand for games, so I missed "UCLA @ UT". oops ](*,) What the heck, I'll pick UCLA,

But then UCLA already has a coach who will probably be around for at least 1 more year.

I have changed my prediction for Nebraska-Penn State. The players at PSU will be pissed off over their loss and trample poor ole Nebraska.

Stern, wasn't Joe Pa an old timer when you were in law school? And did you catch the "house coat" Mrs.Paterno had on for the late night, front door press statement by Joe? Do they have any decent bathrobes in the Paterno home?
