I don't think that's the pic on Zillow; underneath, it says photos not available for the property.

But if you look up the address on Google maps, you see that the two pictures don't match. So this probably is a scam.

The sheer scope of Smith's past con-artistry is rarely delineated.

We've all heard about his attempt to con a desperate family into paying for a donated kidney.

He made up a story about his house being visited by the Virgin Mary, and then attempted to sell the house online.

He also made up a story about his house being haunted by ghosts, and he made up references to fake news stories about it.

He supposedly wrote a book, that no one's ever seen or read, and when he created a Wikipedia page about it, he made up and included references in the Wikipedia article to fake court cases and fake news articles to promote it.

He sold 'tickets' on eBay for a book he said would be all about his trip to Kenya, and would be published in July 2010. He collected over $200, and never published any book.

He claims to have hunted a mythical African dinosaur monster. For a supposed project that's never materialized.

He's a convicted felon who's served a not-insignificant time in prison. His various criminal offenses include forgery, and passing bad checks on a bank account opened with false information. Y'know, fraud-related offenses.

Don't forget that his first appearance on the Birther scene was his multiple attempts to anonymously sell the unseen birth certificate on eBay. And he's confirmed that he only has the one original copy, so anyone who thinks he's a patriot out to do the right thing has to conveniently gloss over his attempts to auction the document.

And one of the "HEROES" he names on his YouTube page is a pseudoscientist con-man.

Everything about the guy's history absolutely screams "fraud." There's virtually nothing he's done in his life that isn't tainted with lies, fraud, and fabrications. Any honest person would just dismiss his con-artistry for what it is. But some Birthers choose to look past all that, for no other reason than because they just want to believe him.

Either I'm having a deja vue or this came up before.

I would have to see a title report, and unfortunately, the assessors site doesn't show the last sales. But, there was a change from business to residential in 2006/2007.

What I seems to have happened is that it was used by a Church as a Community Centre and the Assessor's GIS system record and picture reflect that. But Lucas then bought it in 2006 and converted it to a house

I'm just listening to the radio show where Lucas Smith calls in. Kerchner and Apuzzo are the guests.

Smith goes through his 'I found the BC in Kenya' routine. Asked where he got $5,000 in Kenya (for the 'big' bribe), he claims he had 'Western Unioned myself' 3 separate transaction of $4,500, and that he can prove it. Of course Lucas says he's willing to testify under oath before Congress - because he knows full well no one's ever going to ask him.

Starting at around 9:30 there's a confusing discussion about who is going to 'work with' Lucas. Lucas appears to want to 'work' with Apuzzo, but Apuzzo was in full wriggle mode, passing the buck back to Hagmann. Lucas still wants Mario's advice before he does anything, though.

As Loren notes above, it is spectacular that people still give Smith even a nod given his past (even though he tries to poo-poo it all, claiming it has been "debunked"). I searched for something about Hagmann and although this top hit is from the despicable Debbie Schlussel, it is illuminating.

The more I listen to George Noory, the more I miss Art Bell.

I know! Art likes his conspiracy theories, but at least tries to find some pseudo-scientific reasoning behind them. He also is well prepared and voted for O. Noory thinks "there are no such things as coincidences", believes in numerology and angels, does little research, never offers any healthy skepticism and has stated "I would not hesitate to make my birth certificate available" should he run for president, which according to the birfers he loves so much he couldn't, cuz his father was born in Egypt.

I worked the graveyard shift for many years (many of those at Kapiolani Med Center) & it was hard to fall asleep sometimes when changing shifts, so I had Art on the radio as I fell asleep.
