The Home Page Project continues in spite of (maybe because of) the chaos in the birther/anti-birther communities.

Next, I need: Anyone who has a blog or resource listed in the Our Blogs and Other Resources links at the bottom who also would like to be on a home page link should send me via PM the following:

1. The official name of your resource
2. A short paragraph of what someone would find if they visited, maybe your philosophy. Marketing copy.
3. Estimated percentage of birther content (not in comments, just content)
4. Parts of your resource that could stand on their own or you'd like to feature. (Ex. -- Birther Mythbusting)
5. If you have RSS, Twitter, or other update notifications.

Anyone else that has put together a page on the topic that can be linked to. (PLEASE update your links as many are out of date.)

I won't put anything up without permission. Don't make me come find you.

Mikey-poo, even the longest of "long-form" birth certificates does not contain ALL of the info on the original document in Departments of Health.

That document looks something like this: http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/dvs/birth11-03final-ACC.pdf

Some states photocopy the top portion on security paper, some states just pull out the data necessary to make it a legal document. States also revise their forms from time to time.

Hawaii has already changed their BCs since President Obama's was issued. It is now titled a "Certificate of Live Birth".

Great links, thanks. Should be something to see soon.

The new Birth Certificate page (linked from TFB home page) is phenomenal! Great, great job.

Shhh... it's only partly done. Stealth launch. Huge gaps of content missing. Just up there for format.

Tech Help, Por Favor!!

I put a nifty new image gallery on the home page. It works fine using the Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Opera browsers. For some reason I can't see the photos in my Google Chrome browser. Has anyone got an idea why? (It's not AdBlock Plus; I whitelisted the domain. Nor No-Script; I don't have that on Chrome. It's a pickle.)

Also, as long as you're there, check out the new dropdown menu at the top of the page, and the structure of the debunking information we plan to compile there. Then tell me what I'm missing (from the structure, not the content, knuckleheads; I know we're really thin on content, but we're working on it).

Edit: OK, this page is just about finalized, so we can say we gots sumptin'.

Looking good! If the gallery is the Bomford, I see it on Safari and Chrome. If it's something else, nope.

(Also I have much more content to put up if'n I can figure out where all my linky dinkies went...)

I see it on chrome and firefox. The fade is not smooth on chrome, but otherwise it seems to function as designed. I assume you did a force refresh after your latest update, and that you're not accidentally looking at a different version. (Equivalent to "is it plugged in?" Gotta ask :D ) No other ideas.

I think the banner should be the link and the typed "The Fogbow" above it be removed. The reason is, besides it's being superfluous, when people like me need to increase the size in order to read, there is no text-only option, and so everything gets messed up and elements cover up each other. Try increasing size and you will see what I mean. This used to be very common, that formats would be broken and disarranged, but now it is rare to see it happen on a site. I suggest looking for a text-only code or plug-in for the system you're using. I can't imagine one doesn't exist in this day and age. I've been meaning to mention this. Thank you for all the hard work.

Umm, the link to what? It's just a banner. I might be able to figure out how to make it smaller. The thing is, this is a content management system, and it's got some things programmed into it that I can't easily adjust, since I'm not a programmer.

Case in point. If I try to remove it entirely, it will default to say "concrete5". My only alternative is to give my site a name. I tried giving it the name "." It didn't look right. I realize the name is too big, and it's unnecessary. But which file do I edit to get rid of it, and what edits do I make? I can do simple stuff, but not that. Not yet, anyway.

Concrete5 is kinda catchy. Like a combo of Concrete Blonde and the Jackson 5.

Much better, cleaner-looking, and you can now see the word "Home."

Nice job, Foggy. :-bd

In 2009, the birthers convened a number of fake grand juries, which dutifully issued indictments or "presentments". Then they tried to "serve" the indictments/presentments on various courts, law enforcement agencies, legislators and other authority figures. The effort came to naught.

Cool. 8-)

Bizzy day, but I really appreciate the help. Now if I only had more time!

On March 19, let's get a huge crowd, millions of people, meet up on the National Mall and demand the 30 hour day. With our technology, we should easily be able to slow the rotation of the Earth. Oh, except I still want only 8 hours darkness. \:D/

I haz a RSS page now.

Did a little work on:

Birth Certificates --> Legal Requirements

Cast & Crew --> "Experts" & "Witnesses" --> Ronald Polland

Both still need a lot of work, but made some progress.

Edit: Put in all the great links and YouTubes teh Goggie gave me.

poutine (in the Andy Martin: Natural Born Citizen thread wrote:
In other words, rather than engaging these idiots on each and every specific point they come up with, sometimes it is more effective to simply retort: "The President was born at the Kapiolani hospital on August 4, 1961. Get over it." Once you start getting bogged down in their morass of obscure and usually-fictional details, they've already won half the battle.

You have just stated the guiding philosophy of the so-called "Home Page Project". I am building a compendium of birther debunking information. However, the end goal is to keep each page short, readable, and easy to comprehend. There will be links, photos and YouTubes for additional context; if anyone has questions or wishes to debate some of the points we make, they'll be invited to join the forum and fire away.

The point of the project is to provide a "primer": a brief but very clear debunking of all the multiplicity of birther lies, without getting bogged down in detail. For example, I'm not even dealing with butterbutt's arcane theory that "proves" the COLB was amended, or Miss Tickly's theory that there's a difference between a registrar and a State Registrar. The guy at Freeperville who explained a couple days ago that Obama gave $10 to $20 million to Kenya so they'd amend their constitution in a way that would make Obama eligible to be president of Kenya when he flees there won't get a word of mention in the HPP.

For a good example of what I mean, look at the "Birth Certificates --> Legal Requirements" page. What's above the birds will be expanded and completed in its current style. The stuff below the birds is useful for its links ... I'm using those links to find information for the finished product ... but that stuff will disappear when I'm happy with the stuff above the birds.

From your last post, Pappy, it appears that birferism is gearing up and trying to go mainstream. If I remember correctly, there were some friends of ours who wanted nothing further to do with the birfoons because birferism was dead and irrelevant.

Apparently not so much.

Looking for a friendly site link for images of the birth indexes: Birth Index, Hawaiian Birth Index, Marriage Index.

Thanks. Pie for a usable link.

Edit: Hmmmm... how do I change the subject that appears in the Active Topics?
