This dinar con game has morphed into religious fervor with an intensity similar to Islamic fundamentalism. The suckers in this scam steadfastly believe the promise of financial salvation with a spiritual mindset that is immune to logic or common sense. So I doubt there’s anything you or I can do because your friend is emotionally involved and he badly needs this to be true.

Much the same could be said about those who believe that they will soon receive billions from the SEC in settlement of the CMKX Diamonds scam, those who are awaiting the arrival of their Prosperity Packs, and believers in the saving grace of Tim Turner and the RuSA. These are Eric Hoffer's True Believers, and they are impervious to logic and hostile to discordant facts. I suspect this poor fool has already invested half of his $63,000 in the Iraqi Dinar; if the firm involved plays true to pattern, they are now working on him to invest even more. One wonders why Federal regulators are permitting this scam to continue, but there may be nothing illegal about what these currency trading firms are doing if they carefully avoid making concrete claims. It seems that one can buy and sell Iraqi Dinars in a real bank, Fifth Third Bank, according to those who have claimed to do so. TO be fair to them, a lot of the symbols and paintings they show are actually quite disturbing to me.

That said, they are way out of line with this

They see it as a swastika. I can see that but not the swastika the Nazis used. The Swastika is a very old symbol, and is used to represent healing and peace among other things. In Hinduism its used to represent the 2 aspects of the God Brahma, the Creator and Dissolute. In Buddism its a symbol for eternality. In the Balkans its drawn on people who are sick.There are a lot of buildings in India that have a Swastika as part of their design. It was even used by the American Indians. For instance, heres a picture of a native American basketball team from 1909 basketball team.

Certainly I can see a swastika design used as a prayer symbol to channel safety upon the people who used the airport, but not as a sign to end the world.

I am sure some of the other symbols that disturb me could have some simpler explanations if I had the knowledge to read them properly

Former executor is indicted in theft from estate meant for Spring Hill children's home

A Tennessee firefighter intended to leave his estate to the Tennessee Children's Home in Spring Hill. The estate was valued at about $800,000 at the time of death. The executor has looted the estate; only about $50,000 remains, and nothing has gone to the orphanage.

The interesting twist is that either the firefighter or the executor invested in Iraqi Dinars, four million Dinar currently worth about $3,400. The promise made all over the Webs is that the Dinar will be revalued to something like its putative value under Saddam, around $3.50 per Dinar, or even twice that in some fevered dreams. That would make this portion of the estate worth something like $14 million. The executor may have planned for the revaluation to cover his looting of the estate, delivering a sizable amount to the orphanage.

John MacHaffie of RAP/Nesara News has been running a "Needs" program in which people fill out an application for funding. It was to be entirely funded by the revaluation of the Iraqi Dinar.

This is one of those "any day now" events. Some Dinar investors self-report that most of their savings are in Dinars. Much of the currency that they hold may be counterfeit. I suppose that anyone who has been counting on a return on investment better than 4000 times the investment falls into the category of the dishonest man who is easily cheated. However, it's a shame that these scam artists have been allowed to proceed

Investors in the Iraqi Dinar got a rude shock on Monday when the International Monetary Fund said
IMF Suggests Stable Iraqi Dinar

They also have not thought through why it would be that, in this week of revaluation, ebay sellers would be offering 10,000,000 Iraqi Dinar for $132.99 -- a package worth $38,600,000 at their fantasy rate.

Edit: Despite the statement from the IMF, Dinar speculators keep raising expectations. Tonight's "news" is that the revaluation has occurred and the rate is $6.19. That is, that 10,000,000 Iraqi Dinar bundle quoted on ebay is worth $61,900,000. The 10,000,000 bundle has sold, but 100,000 Iraqi Dinar can be purchased for $132.99. That is a ten-fold increase in price over the past few hours, which is proof that the RV is coming real. soon. now.

What a difference a single word can make. The Iraqi central bank is in the final stages of a re-denomination of the Iraqi Dinar, which will consist of removing three zeroes. Today's 1,000 Dinar note would become, under the new currency, a 1 Dinar note. This move had been predicted for months or years. Presumably, owners of today's currency would be given a window of time to exchange their currency for the new currency. It may or may not be possible to make that exchange outside Iraq; if it can be done at banks in the U.S., there will undoubtedly be transaction costs.

The owner of 5,000,000 Iraqi Dinar in today's currency will own 5,000 new Iraqi Dinar. One of the prices quoted on Dinar sell sites is $5,500 for 5 million of today's currency. The value of the new Iraqi Dinar may be just slightly under $1.00, given the present value.

This is not the re-valuation that Dinar scam artists had been promising and for which Dinar speculators had been praying. In fact,
