After an underwhelming response to his story so far, Lucas returns to 'fill out' some of the gaps.

He begins by setting the scene in the kind of bizarre way so typical of him:

On different occasions that night I heard light taps on my front door, soft knocking. I didn't think much of the knocks because over the summer and late fall of 2010 I'd experienced the same sort of soft knocks which turned out to be a young girl (about 21 years old) that liked me. I'd never seen the girl in the past but I could tell that she was one of the many Chicago people that have been pouring into Cedar Rapids since the mid 1990's. The girl would knock softly on my door at night and then she would scamper, or run nimbly, off. That might sound kind of weird but you'd have to know the area and the people and the state of affairs or 'politics' to understand

I did escape from that night from the house. I ran to 1st Avenue SE (which is not just 4 streets over; there are several named avenues along with the numbered avenues). After feeling somewhat confident that I was not insight of anyone following me I entered through the back door of and old tenement building that I once lived in as a teenager.

The building once, long ago before I was born, had an inner area (sort of like a narrow square within the square shaped building) which allowed the inner ring of apartments to have windows so that sunlight could shine down from the opening of the inner square on the roof. This inner square (whatever its really termed as) in the roof which descends down to the basement was long ago covered and the inner rows of windows no longer opened and have been painted over and some lathed and plastered over. However, the inner square is still accessible by a door on the basement level.
On the night of the 7th of December 2010 I entered this area and hid there until, I believe, early Monday morning. I was very frightened. I have escaped from other situations in the past and I have waited for days on end without movement other than too urinate and defecate and drink water (or anything available).

Sometime on, I believe, the 14th or 15th of December 2010 I again returned to my house on 5th Avenue to gather other items. I remember that I was in my house one moment and then the next moment I was waking up in what appeared to be a jail cell or prison cell. Some white men speaking American English kept coming into to see me in the cell. They told me that I was in Mexico and that I would never leave unless I told them everything about what happened at the hospital in Kenya and whether or not I was in working as a team with certain people in Kenya.
