That adorable Japanese bunny's name was Oolong (RIP), and he had a discussion forum on portalofevil.com, on which Lacey was a regular.

As someone else pointed out, Dan Lacey was a featured artist on portalofevil.com years ago, mostly for his conservative political cartoons. Rather than getting all worked up over being a featured site, he took it with aplomb and started hanging around the PoE forums.

Dan then found out about the love of Oolong, a bunny belonging to a Japanese guy who would pose said rabbit with pancakes on his head and take pictures. Lacey took the ball and ran with it, painting pancakes on the heads of various world leaders (Kim jong-Il, Stalin, Bush, Palin, etc. etc.).

In a TV interview, Taitz talked at length about the upcoming Minneapolis show. "The artist is clearly deranged," she said. "The fact that he is crazy is beyond any question."

Lacey has been painting for decades, but has become an unlikely target of the far right. Before his pancake paintings gave him notoriety, Lacey was a conservative evangelical Christian who drew an online cartoon called "Faithmouse," which promoted conservative ideas that often angered liberals.

Not anymore. "I quit," said Lacey of his political leanings. "I sent in my notice and no longer belong to the Christian right."

Now, his paintings poke fun at politicians of all stripes (one shows Obama with pancakes on his head, spouting oil), but he's more likely to tweak his former philosophical colleagues.

The time has arrived to reveal the identity of the puppetmaster behind my paintings of Orly Taitz giving birth to delicious pancakes. By Friday, all shall be known.

Unfortunately I didn't make my Kickstarter goal for funding the show, so no posters, programs, newer large canvases, etc. The show on Sunday will be paid for mainly through my auctions of Michael Jackson paintings (Thanks, MJ.) It will feature a number of new Orly paintings, including the painting above and a reproduction of the nortorious birther pancake, but the majority of the show will be comprised of framed reproductions on canvas of past pancakes, including a very healthy dose of Minnesota-themed paintings. You will be able to purchase the actual exhibits at the show for $20 each.

However, you are still able to purchase a 'donation of chance' for $2.37, which will enter you in the drawing to win the puppetmaster Orly painting. Donations will also be accepted at the show itself, which will be held from 11 AM to 3 PM at Storefront In A Box on Lyndale Ave. in Minneapolis on July the 4th. Drawing will be at 2.37 conducted by Mr. Dusty Trice.

I cannot at this time confirm the rumour that Orly herself will be attending the show...

The unveiling of the Orly Taitz: The Naked Truth painting is delayed one day as I completely repaint the image I was intending to show.

So, how long until Orly sues Soros for "hiring" someone to make harassing paintings of her? And how long after that until it's tossed out?

And frankly I don't see Dr. Orly agreeing to any sort of couples or family counseling, because she's simply incapable of admitting she did anything wrong.

Without consulting anything other than your brain; Which psychologist developed the term (and theory of) "stream-of-consciousness"?

Hmm.

Not sure. But I know my poor ol' Wifehorn suffers horribly from stream-of-consciousness disease. That poor woman is convinced that if she has a thought and doesn't express it out loud immediately, maybe it wasn't really a thought after all.
