I was just reading Martin's blog and it's about senatorial candidate Richard Blumenthal. I the blog he goes into his time in Vietnam.

Andy gives care and attention to his biography in Wikipedia, so it is quite strange that the claim to have served in Vietnam does not appear in that article. The sad thing is that Martin-Trigona may now believe that to be true. I think a whole lot of his life has been constructed on self-delusions.

A comment on Todd Gitlin's 2008 article on Martin-Trigona on TPMCafe reads:

He attempted pathetically to sue them for it. The case was thrown out because of his failure to comply with the injunction against him filing frivolous lawsuits in federal court.

No. He's been claiming that for a long time. Kinda hard to produce tapes of a conference when nobody showed. So, you tell birfers the tapes were stolen.

Not that it matters, but I really appreciate it when people share what's on Orly's blog. Sometimes it's a duplicate of what is already been reported, but I don't go to her site very often. I'm a chicken.

So, I turned on my computer today and about 6" of my monitor is black with multi-color vertical stripes. When did I get this? What on earth do I do to computer equipment? {{sigh}} I hope it doesn't grow in size. I've had to shrink window size, but it's hard to use. I wonder if I have a warranty on this? If it's 90 days, it's probably gone. If it's a year, I hope they replace. I did really love this monitor. In any case, I need a new one.
