I took the day off today to go to my home town of Malden MA to get myself the necessary paper work to become a sovereign Citizen and ran into to two fine peace officers. Of course they are not aware that they are now in fact peace officers but I had a lovely conversation with John and George. Both of whom are in full support of the Massachusetts based Gillette Company.

Yeah, on the AFGJ Facebook page, I wuz yankin' their chains and mentioned that I was a retired lawyer, and the next guy to comment asked me if there was an "Article 4 flag" in "the" courtroom where I worked. Like I had only been in one courtroom in my life, and if the flag had gold fringe, maybe I wasn't really a legal lawyer.

There's paperwork for that? And you submit it to whoever is in charge of sovereign-ness?

This is like a cargo cult. They've seen legal filings that they don't understand, filled with high-sounding words and phrases that are gibberish to them, yet somehow these documents make things happen. So they have come up with their own gibberish-filled documents and expect the magic words to make things happen for them, too.

Me either, Mimi, although I wonder: If the USA granted all these assholes their wish and made them "sovereign citizens," doesn't that mean they could be kicked out of the country that they've decided they don't want to be part of? Wouldn't they be illegal aliens?

There are still a few uninhabited Pacific islands upon which all the Sovereign Citizens could fit. This could be a lifetime in paradise for them once they learned how to fish with spears made from local wood and figured out how to get a fire started.

My guess is, based on their inability to cooperate with one another, we'd have some creepy Lord of the Flies or Lost situation develop in short order.
