Considering he thought he'd get restitution for his "kidnapping" at the hands of the government, he should receive about a brazillion dollars when he finally gets out.

I wonder if the scenario has gone like this.
Sekrit Stuffs!
Lawyers please tell me how wrong I am.
1. Trussell or Ms Garcia contacts the appeals lawyer.
2. Appeals lawyer tells them what to concentrate on as their best chance for new trial. Appeals lawyer tells them how much he would cost, too much for Terry T. (See also step 4.)
3. Ms Garcia decides that she will work on his case when she has time, possibly because chances of payment are slim.
4. Whenever she drafts something, Terry T will not approve. He insists that she has to show that his Common Law Grand Jury was perfectly legal and his prosecution was illegal, hence he gets bazillions of dollars.
5. She files another request for extension.
6. Repeat steps 4 & 5.
Edit: 7. Terry T stays in Prison.

I don't think she is the main reason for delay.

Isn't this whole post sentencing docket about an appeal that most lawyers would have filed in court the day he was sentenced?

Lots of filings and lots of paper, but has an actual appeal ever been filed?

Well, as Stern said, "Terry Trussell has the State of Florida right where he wants them."

Wait -- that was Rodger B. Dowdell, Jr., and Harry Riley saying that.

Actually, Stern said Florida has Terry where they want him -- in jail -- so they don't care if Inger Garcia ever files the appeal or FUBARs it.

Thank you realist. Arthur J. Morburger is still officially in the game, but I still wonder what, if anything, he is actually doing for Trussell.

It has now been, by my reckoning, well over a year since TT landed his sorry ass in the FL penal system, and unless I have missed something, Ingie dingie and old Moredelay have yet to actually file anything even remotely resembling an appeal. Even the worst lawyer I've ever known, and I've known several would have had something out, poorly done as it would have bee, almost before the ink was wet on the sentencing order. Yet these two..... crickets .......

Can you say malpractice boys and girls..........

IANAL but I’d do it exactly the same way if I represented TT. I’d wait until two weeks before his scheduled release, file the appeal, then take credit for his release. Meanwhile, keep the funds coming my way

Which is how far distant??? Moredelay won't live that long and Ingie dingie who knows???? She may get that disbarment she's been working towards yet before he gets out.

It's posts like that that make me smile slyly at the memory (collective Fogbow groan) of attending my very first Dowdell-led pooty party in which RD tried, begged, pleaded with somebody, anybody to take the foreman position* of our newly minted common law grand jury so we could get rid of that child-molesting "commie core" school curriculum. And he probably would have had better success if he hadn't led with the story of CLGJ foreman Trussell being arrested after filing those very papers at his local courthouse.**

*One fellow was finally nominated against his will and grudgingly accepted, only to resign within the week. Nobody else was willing to take his place and that was that.

**Although Dowdell assured us not to worry. Trussell would be raking in the trajillions right after he sued the county for kidnapping him.

Yup, that worked out so very well for TT and all the other idjits who have let Dowdell lead them down the path. the ones in Colorado are doing so well they should be the poster children for his campaign.
