She should probably very careful about making any real or implied threats to our State officials, even if just threats of legal actions. They don't take kindly to getting shot at (and obviously shoot back) so I suspect they might be hyper-vigilant about that sort of thing for the foreseeable future.

http://www.clarionledger.com/article/20 ... |text|Home

p.s. I know her threats are legal actions and not physical threats, but the State is not going to be in any mood to give her a pass on even that much any time soon. Our AG is the only State-wide elected Democrat and as such seems to feel like he has something to prove.

Sugar Mag, that's just happened a few hours ago. What was it all about? Why was someone wanting that lawyer dead so bad, they would shoot up his staff trying to get to him?

Not a lot of information so far other than the fact that 2 men have been arrested and charged with plotting to kill the attorney. The two charged with the plot are not the same two who were involved with the actual shooting. Still no word on why they wanted him killed, either.

It's a draft. Pretty hilarious. Poorly written, no real legal arguments, failing to understand the legal foundations for removal. Fascinating. Orly is getting in good shape...
Hope she spent some time preparing her answers to the RICO questionnaire the Judge sent her. The clock is ticking and she is nowhere close to a properly pleaded RICO action.

There is no legitimate reason for the Secretary of State to oppose the Plaintiffs at all, as the Plaintiffs are seeking to uphold lawful elections and halt elections fraud. It would be reasonable for the Secretary of State not to waste taxpayer’s money on any opposition at all and simply file a stipulation that they will follow the findings of the presiding judge, who is the trier of the facts. This is not the fight of the Secretary of State at all.

Huh? Is she for real? Not only does she file these ridiculous cases but now she wants to tell a defendant that SHE named, that they shouldn't defend their position? If "this is not the fight of the Secretary of State at all," why did she name him as defendant???? Oh I get it! In OrlyLaw, Orly decides what the opposition's position should be and when they should simply acquiesce since we know Orly has "irrefutable," "explosive" evidence!

And if that weren't outrageous enough, she adds a new bomb, "embezzlement":

Quote:
Defendant Secretary of state is simply engaging in embezzlement of the taxpayer funds and misappropriation of the taxpayer funds by using those funds to draft pleadings and argue against RICO actions brought against other defendants.

I love Orly's tactic of intentionally failing to address the law. It's worked so well for her in the past, so why not?

I see May shaping up to be the Month of the Sanction. Mississippi, Hawai'i, and Indiana - PLAY BALL!

Well um, yes. The Judge is supposed to do the research and discovery and everything for her. Why bother addressing points of law? Those are a given in her tiny little brain.

Update: From the Clarion Ledger

Doctor arrested in suspected murder plot
AG investigators meeting with attorney when gunfight ensues

Quote:
GREENWOOD — Authorities say a 70-year-old oncologist is accused of hiring two men to kill the lawyer who represented his ex-wife when they divorced in the 1990s.

Dr. Arnold Smith of Greenwood and William Paul Muller, 54, a brickmason from Morgan City, were arrested Sunday and held without bond on a charge of conspiracy to kill lawyer Lee Abraham, Greenwood police said.

[...]

Greenwood police arrested Smith on Sunday morning, according to the police docket. The attorney general's office arrested Muller.

"We can't currently make any comment as it relates to a criminal investigation," said Jan Schaefer, a spokeswoman for Attorney General Jim Hood.

Is it a good idea to be CCing the 5th Circuit and SCOTUS on case documents?
