There are more surveys after the one about the President. It is a nice opportunity to Fogbowize a poll

Edit: Mebbe should be FOG the poll

As much as I hate to quote pornstache... This one is too funny to pass up. Either this shows the fringe is mainstream or mainstream is going fringe. The Frothy One has joined WND as a commentator whatever that means:

Quote:
Rick Santorum – the former U.S. senator who ignited grass-roots conservatives as a Republican candidate for president this year – today joins WND as an exclusive columnist. His commentaries will be featured each Monday.

native of Pennsylvania, Santorum went to bat for conservatives who didn’t feel their voice was being represented in the GOP primary. His grass-roots approach to campaigning – including visiting every one of Iowa’s 99 counties and his stunning victory in the Iowa caucuses – put him in front-runner status where he ultimately won 11 states and 3 million votes during the Republican primary process.

And what's Ricky's debut column? The UN Conspiracy to murder his own daughter

The RWNJ have an astonishing ability to read into this treaty provisions that elude others. However, the specific sentence about "the best interests of the child" is worth thinking about. We as a people have had to deal with parents who deemed it to be in the best interests of their child that the child not receive a blood transfusion, or not receive chemotherapy, or not go to even some sort of pretend home schooling. We have child protection services that intervene when parents are starving or abusing a child.

The vote on the treaty has been taken. It did not pass. Former Senator Dole went to speak for it. It's hard to get a two-thirds majority in this Senate.

Much of this is perpetrated by religious nuts like Jehovah's Witnesses, who are, of course, free to die of their own stupidity but not to kill other people because of it, even their own children. It is no surprise a religious nut like Rick Santorum, whose views are so far out and extreme as to be beyond the pale, would fear the best interests of anyone outweighing his own right to be crazy.
